Chair reserving on the pool deck can be such a trigger topic for many in the cruising community. Some lines don't allow it and prevent you from doing it - other lines dont care. Also - most all lines will confiscate a drone at embark ... probably good you left it behind. Love the video!

I have to admit I am one of the people who doesn't like it when people "reserve" their seats. It is frustrating to try and find a place to sit and every chair has a towel on it, but there is no one around.

As you are a “new” cruiser, take it from a seasoned cruiser, saving chairs with a towel is a deff no no. They call those people “chair hogs” on alot of the FB groups.

Bayside is awesome - my cruise was delayed because of a hurricane a few years back - the ships couldn't get back in to port. We stayed at the Holiday Inn right across the street and spent a couple days drinking at Bubba Gump until our ship finally came in and we were able to board.

What a wonderful cruise! Loved the video. If you multiply kilometers by 6 and put in a decimal point it gives you an approximate conversion to miles. So 5 kilometers times 6 = 3.0 miles.

Fun vid! Shuffleboard tip: both teams shoot from the same side so you can bump each others pieces out of bounds. Farthest color and any other pieces of that color that are farther than other teams pieces are the ones that score .

Hi Jordan! I'm so happy you got to try a cruise as a passenger! I hadn't thought about doing a Virgin Cruise but will look into it now that I've seen your video. Just want to make one comment. As a passenger it is very much frowned upon to "reserve" a chaise with a towel and leave. I can't tell you how many times I have not been able to find a place to sit when loungers were abandoned for hours. At times the crew will remove the towels. I have not sat on a towel left by someone else but I have moved abandoned towels and sat on my own towel when the "reservers" are gone for a longer period of time (not just a dip in the pool or a quick trip to the buffet, but hours). It is a hot topic on the cruise blogs. Some passengers (not you :)) even put towels down early in the morning and don't come out to use them until afternoon. Not trying to be critical, just to make you aware why these folks might have taken your seats. I can't wait to find out what your next adventure or contract will be!!

Hi Jordan and Callum. We are super loyal to Royal but glad you were able to try Virgin. We tried it this year also. Hung out at the dock house a lot. So sorry Callum got hurt. If you ever go back to Grand Turk, you gotta go to Jack’s Shack. It’s AMAZING. It’s on the other side of the ships then where you guys went. I’ve been there 4 times and I would go a million more, by far my fav place I’ve ever been.

Looks like a great time. I've thought of cruising Virgin, it looks amazing. I'm generally an NCL girl ("regular" inside or balcony, I like the casual nature and "freestyle" setup) OR I cruise in the MSC Yacht Club --- I don't think I could do MSC in "gen pop," it's a little frenetic for me. One thing about "lounge savers," I hear a lot of the lines are going to remove towels if no one shows up within a designated time. It seems to be a hotly contested topic ... some people think they should be able to put a towel and "park" a lounger the whole day and others complain it's almost impossible to get a spot on deck because of "lounge hogs." My hubs and I just got back Wed. from a 3 week cruise from Rio to Rome and a week in Rome. Still recovering from all the activity ....

This looks like a great trip! Never done a VV cruise before but a good friend has and she raved about it. Maybe one day when the kids move out :D Jordan, if you love magic, have you checked out the Magic Castle Club in Hollywood? You have to be a member, get an invitation from a member or stay at the Magic Castle Hotel to be able to go. We went for brunch a few years ago (normally it's 18+ but kids are allowed for brunch). You get a great meal, and see at least 3 magic acts. So good.

I have just started watching this video but I have to say it is so much fun to see the two of you enjoying this cruise as passengers. I do believe Virgin is a line for younger people and there is definitely a major need for a line like this. When I was much younger my husband and I would cruise and at 30 I felt like I was among all senior citizens. Now I am one of them so I stick to Oceania but would have loved a line like Virgin “back in the day”. So happy for you.
