Cruises are smashing records despite covid on board. Even though EVERYONE is "vaccinated"
When will they drop the mandatory Cruise vaccine mandate? CDC recommends making sure you are up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines before travel, which includes additional doses for individuals who are immunocompromised or booster doses when eligible. Follow all requirements and recommendations at each location during travel, and take steps to protect yourself and others. When will they drop the Cruise vaccine mandate? It is ridiculous and it doesn't work! It's also not fair to make us get the vaccine just so we can cruise when we can fly and travel all over without a mask or a vaccine. I don't mind getting tested, that's find but let us cruise!
May 5, 2022 - Passengers on a Carnival cruise that docked in Seattle on Tuesday said the ship was overwhelmed after more than 100 people tested positive for COVID-19.
With the United States government dropping mandatory covid tests for international travelers, the cruise industry remains the only travel business that still requires testing.
The decision by the Centers for Disease Control, which takes effect June 12 allows people to fly to the U.S. without taking any sort of covid test, which should lead to an increase in travel.
That's good news for cruise lines as "in 2019, more than 1 million guests from Canada sailed from a U.S. homeport, 570,000 guests from Brazil sailed from a U.S. homeport, and 280,000 from Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America," Cruisehive reported.
More passengers from around the world will be able to get to the U.S., but actually getting on a cruise ship will still require taking a covid test no more than two days before the day they sail. That rule remains in place and the Cruise Line Industry Association (CLIA) -- a trade group which represents the interests of Royal Caribbean International (RCL) - Get Royal Caribbean Group Report, Carnival Cruise Line (CCL) - Get Carnival Corporation Report, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCLH) - Get Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. Report, and most major cruise lines around the world -- has called for the CDC to review the rules under which cruise ships are now voluntarily operating under in partnership with the federal agency.

I agree with you 100% u actually am vaccinated my husband is not and we have a cruise for October and don’t know what is going to happen! My husband is not vaccinated

Unfortunately they're not going to let him on unless he is. They have not lifted the vaccine mandate therefore he'll have to have two vaccine shots before he's able to board.

There are STILL OUTBREAKS on cruises! My god open your eyes. I literally just got back from Vegas where I flew in a plane with NO MASK and NO VACCINE. Stayed at MGM Grand and played with no mask and no vaccine. (which by the way were packed just because they lifted the mask mandate. Trust me I've been there every month for a year and saw during the mask mandate and after it lifted. Imagine how much more money the cruise industry would make if they dropped the forced vaccine.) I Touched chips and slot machines that weren't wiped down and flew home on an airplane with NO MASK and NO VACCINE and I'm fine. Yet in the news ANOTHER cruise had a Covid outbreak. I'd much rather be forced to test and KNOW that I'm boarding a ship with negative tested people than these sheep with a "vaccine" in which they had to change the definition of just to fit the CDC guidelines. Come on now OPEN YOUR EYES EVEN THE CRUISE LINES THEMSELVES DON'T WANT IT. They are losing so much money. I can't tell you how many offers I get a week for cruises that are doing every deal they can to get people including FREE. I won't do it. Not until they drop it or like I said. Split the cruised to all vaxxed and non vaxed. I'll test before and everyday if I have to but I WON"T inject anything into my body that I don't want.!!!!
