He's always been underrated despite being top 10 the last few years. His game was always good but just didn't get the results. Semi finals in the world against littler where he also averages a ton. He's just really good

Steady on, anything can happen in the next two decades. Phil was a freak of nature with a hunger and ego like no other. He is similar to Taylor when he loses a close match…..turns his back to put his darts away instead of shaking hands straight away but that’s no bad thing. It shows his passion

How he played Thursday night he can't be beaten. Humphries seems to be off form too. Littler is a raw talent who rarely even practices.

@@LCFCV9 On Thursday night aspinall very nearly beat him with a match dart and Humphries on week 6 averaged 3 points higher overall so it’s nothing we haven’t seen before . His averages now don’t even make the top ten from years ago when it was a slightly longer format. I do agree we have never seen this from a 17 year old before and if he carries on he has potential to get even better but far too early to talk about him breaking all records when he hasn’t even won a single major yet. He’s young with no commitments but that could all change.he might not even want to break all records. Everyone thought MVG would break all of Phils but that seemed to change after he had his 2nd kid. Phil on the other hand was a different animal ,selfishly devoting his whole life to darts , practicing 6 hours a day, touring all the time, raising his game with every new hotshot that came on the scene … and a failed marriage and estranged kids along the way…. It’s not for everyone! Christ he won a major in his last year and got to the world final in his late 50s!
