I have learned in my 62 years of life that those folks that criticize others work are most often those who have never built anything in their life. There is no need to explain yourselves to anyone. Y'all are doing a great job. I love to see all your builds whenever you get them done.

But there are some thing that need not be committed on (as in the neg comments) Many have done the same and held full time jobs, and I take you would call them couch Mechanics, yet you are an armchair critic, not knowing a thing about any that may had made comments. I am not one that made comments, however I feel it would have been best to just ignore the neg comments, and go on. Petty thing like that has caused me to unsubscribe and stop watching...as with many I bet. You do not poop where you eat

@@montanastranger And that goes both ways. Your statement is like calling someone Hypocritical. You havre to be one first in order call someone one (or to do as you wrote) I do not say it was right for others to say it was taking too long, however Fab Rats is making 1000s a month off people watching. What she did was like going to a restaurant and having the wait staff complaint because you take too long to read the menu and order....they make their money off of you.

People watch too much TV and think these projects get done in a few half hour episodes. The truth is, many builds take years to complete. Then, when you think you are done, it’s time to upgrade or fix what you have broken. The viewers here, who work on their own vehicles know what kind of time is involved in all of these projects. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.

So I seriously applaud Paul for being able to do this stuff alone in the time frames that he has it’s truly impressive and the people commenting just haven’t gotten there hands dirty enough to know how long a two man job takes when your alone. Love the channel so much and you give all of us gear heads the motivation we need to get out in the shop and make some cool shit!!

Love seeing the FJ actually driving! Find it funny people are saying it's taking too long, but hopefully it is not a genuine complaint. I can relate to feeling impatient, because I came here from Matt's channel. After binge watching the Morvarr build in a few hours, this build feels like it's taking forever... but only because we're actually along for the ride, instead of watching after it's all done. I think this is ridiculously fast, given that Paul's doing this part time, and alone not a crew of 3-4 other people! Love the can-do attitude also! You've helped my in a lot of home renovation/repairs recently. When things go "wrong" I find myself saying, gonna have to handle it. Then shortly "we're winnin!"

Paul. You're doing one hell of a job with Ed's LJ. I'm 80 years old and I just completed restoring a 57 Chevy. It only took me 3 years in my garage with no special equipment. I lived in SoCal for decades and never had to think about sourcing any type of material or parts. I could stop on the way home from work any day and pick up anything. Now living in a very small town, especially with whatever is now going on with the supply chain it is a challenge to find stuff and have it on hand. Seeing only parts this issue at Fab Rats makes it more impressive he gets anything done.

This is Dale (A fan of your channel) from South Texas. This is something I didn't know until I visited the Makita factory a few yrs ago... You know how when using a "key-less chuck drill" and the drill bit comes lose? On my visit I found out that I didn't really know how to properly chuck the bit. I'm not saying you don't know how to do it, but this is what I learned. When you chuck the drill bit tight, then back it off until the chuck clicks, then it is locked in. Keep on "Getting After It". I found you channel by watching your friend Matt's off road recovery. Thank You. Dale

Its how they are built with "Petina" and the windshield adds to the antique worn leathered look. I remember seeing a $180,000 dollar+ jeep built to the max get out crawled by something looking like this lol it's hard to explain kind a like a Lamborgini getting beat in a race by a Honda civic it totally changes your views on things.

I say make it like a real Baja 1000 Trophy Truck and do the windshield delete mod, then it’s up to the drivers to provide themselves helmets/goggles for the dust! And it’s shotgun’s job to remove the chunks of cactus and too-slow roadrunners coming in the front.

Michelle. I fully agree with you. From what I gather from yours and Matt's video's. Ed only wants the engine running. But no, you guys are taking care of Ed. He is a great guy, again, from what I see on the videos. I know a few have donated cash or parts to help out. But, Paul is basically doing this for no pay. Free work, parts labor. LOL That does not come cheap. Also it does not get put on the front burner to be done over night. In my opinion, you are on a great schedule and doing great as always. With Ed not being on line is a great thing. You can always blame the time it is taking on The Rona. Ones not involved have no right to say anything about it. The way I look at it on this subject. If you ain't signing my pay check, then you have no say in the matter of how business is done. So don't worry about what they say. Besides, it is your channel and project. Run it how you want to. I understand trying to make people happy. There is no way to do that for everyone. You could be doing it line by line from the book. Someone will complain, because it is not from the book they read. You guys are 100% AWESOME, keep it up.

That FJ might still be sitting in the shop Grader is the greatest and Paul it's nice to see that you finally got that FJ on the road it's not 100% complete and when I say that I mean the paint and body work and all that but it's good to see that thing going. Thanks for the intro... I 'think' I appreciate all the work Paul does... I cannot imagine, literally, building things from scratch and without a blueprint... his work is incredible, as is yours Michelle with the video editing and all the other family support you provide for Paul so he can pursue his passion for creating better machines... I have also loved seeing Paul patiently mentor the kids, it pays off when they can provide a solution to a broken transmission on the FJ... and yes I am anxiously awaiting to see the saga of the Golden Nugget, what an incredible gift the whole team is preparing for Ed, in the meantime I have enjoyed going back to catch up on the work on the Unicorn and your Jeep too Michele... It is obvious Paul has already sacrificed a great deal on his own personal project to get the Nugget to its current state, a sacrifice that has put a big stress on him to meet his personal deadline with the FJ... all these projects shows Paul's artistry, his creative nature with big noisy tools... what a unit... a welder, compressed air to fix flats etc... totally self sufficient and ready to rescue others in distress too... Awesome

Most people don't realize that working on any vehicle always boils down to "labor hours" not days, weeks or months. If y'all had 10 people working at your shop each putting in 10 hour days, that's 100 labor hours a day knocking s**t out. All our favorite TV build shows do this and that's how those projects get completed so much faster. Awesome job you guys! 👍
