You forget to nominee Hange Zoe from attack on Titan as best gender neutral character. She is amazing!! Btw I love your list, although I dissagree when it comes to some stuff. However, I'm glad someone finally choose Re:Zero as best fantasy. It really deserves it😊

I whole heartedly agree with fruits basket should have won best romance I loved Horimiya it’s one of my fav romance animes but Fruits Basket takes the cake on majority. And def best drama It’s not common to find animes that go into depth with irl struggles and mental health. Fruits Basket dealt with Bullying, Trauma, PTSD, Anxiety, Abuse, Identity, Death, even su*c*de. Phenomenal anime in so many ways possible

I'm so glad you wrote this because I have heard how amazing Fruits Basket is, but it sounded like it could be a bit heavy and this definitely confirmed it. I really want to watch it someday, but I think I'll wait until I'm more mentally ready. But your comment makes me understand just how good it is so thank you :)

@@vmorris7639 of course! I myself have honestly gotten triggered watching it to the point I heavily cried cuz I related to some situations a lot. Sure it’s rated TV-14 but after watching I really feel like they should have added warnings for certain episodes just for the fact of how triggering it could be for certain viewers. But yes I highly recommend once ur mentally feeling up to it to watch it. It’s also a feel good watch luckily it’s not always sad. :)

I respect your awards man, especially for Re:Zero. I've seen the anime and it's so emotional. Subaru is one of the most characters that I love the most because he does everything to fix things. I can't do that if it was me.

I really agree with you for best drama. Fruits basket season 3 was so good, it even made me cry 😭 it was such a good anime, definitely one of my favorite animes.

I just started world trigger a few weeks ago and binged 3 whole seasons in a week. It easily becomes my top 3 action animes right away. They don't just blindly fight like madmans. The strategies, the combinations, amazing characters, just endless possibilities. Hope they're getting another season!

Overall, I liked your nominations and decisions regarding which animes won what awards, however they are two things that stuck out to me that I would change if I were the one making the decisions. The first one is that I feel like Subaru should have been a nominee for best protagonist, but that might just be from personal bias. The second one is more of a general problem: most of the “best boy” nominees were the protagonists of their respective series. I feel like the award of “best boy” is more than that. For example, I feel like Otto from Re: Zero could have been a nominee for this category. I don’t really know the other animes well enough to judge their characters, which is why I’m using him as an example, but I feel as though there could have been better nominees and a better final decision there. Regardless of all of this, thanks for creating your own list, and I definitely agree yours was better executed than the Crunchyroll awards.

I feel so happy about the love and appreciation you gave Fruits Basket. I know it's already quite popular but I feel like there still so many people sleeping on it even though its writing, characters etc. are so good?? Glad you picked it as your winner in best romance & drama, it deserves it to 100% (I was so furious when I saw that FB didn't win in neither of these categories in the official poll)

Hey! I really like this video overall but I was thinking if you do something like this again. It would be good to add like a list or just some visual that you would have at the screen at all time. It would make it easier to follow. Or maybe time stamps would be also good idea. I'm no profesional but I just wanted to share it.

My top 2 best animation for 2021 was also Vivy Fluorite Eye's Song and Mushoku Tensei. My top 1 was really Vivy (thank you WIT STUDIO), the animation was really really really good!!! but I think you reasoned out pretty correct with Mushoku. 23:02 !!!!! Hahaha Billy I love how you say "RIDICULOUS". Hahaha. But yes, how could Mushoku Tensei didn't win anything. I believe it was also a fan favorite. Soooo why?

I definitely don’t watch anime enough especially to keep up with ones that came out last year bc that ✨adult life✨ so it was nice to see your opinion. However I LOVED ODDTAXI like it definitely deserve all the praise it got. It was such a different from what I’ve seen and the dialogue between the characters was top notch.

This is the best award show. I don't care about crunchyroll anymore, please make more in future, would love it, Billy. Edit: yes World Trigger fully utilise the technical and tactical of it. I can actually honestly say so far yea I like it more than jjk personally. ALSO 13:15 YASS Moriarty and 15:10 Duke of death, finally someone mentions it

As you said everyone has its own opinions but at best fantasy I would have went w Vanitas because the concept of the story pretty much fascinated me along w the humour but again it’s everyone decision And w the best action I would have choose the same as you just because it’s about anime and not about the manga.Because if u read the manga I’m pretty sure you would have choose Tokyo revengers because the plot there is literally so good even if it is a bit confusing after someone’s death. Oh and abt the most pleasantly surprised I can’t imagine Billy’s face after watching Tokyo revengers.Because that vid where he reacted to the op literally cracked me up and I just can not imagine his face when he saw Naoto and Tachemichi aren’t brothers 💀Kinda want a vid where he says his thoughts abt the anime and abt the manga if u read it

Seriously tho, rip vivy, Mushoku tensei, and a couple others. I PRAY… that this year will be different. There are so many good shows out(and coming out) this year, but I low key feel like certain shows(cough cough CSM) are going to sweep(ps summertime rendering will get slept on)

dude billy checkout KINGDOM. The first n second seasons animation is not the best but the plot is soooooooo good. As a youtuber who gives justice to underrated animes please check this out. Actualy quite a lot of ppl who read the manga or watch the anime like it a lot. I t shows u how ancient warfare was actualy done. Gives u a real insight .And the strategies explained are soooo ingenius.And the 3rd season of the anime is very well done and the plot keeps getting better.so please check kingdom out. And its such a change from traditional anime
