Bad Omens have become one of the biggest bands in the metal scene over the course of the past year. With their incredible album The Death of Piece of Mind (which recently won Album of the Year at the Heavy Music Awards) taking listeners by storm, their path to domination has been punctuated by trending songs on TikTok and sold out tours.
What you may not know is that anime has been a huge part of their lives. We had the chance to speak with Noah Sebastian and Nick Ruffilo from the band about what they love about anime, how it hits them harder than most media, and the impact that shows like Naruto and Paranoia Agent have on them personally and creatively.

All of the guys seem so genuine and wholesome, it’s so refreshing to see a band of people who have no ulterior motives other than to just have fun and experiment with their passion, it makes them feel much more human, it’s so easy to see celebrities as other beings rather than just regular people but I feel like all of the guys from BO do such a good job at just being themselves unapologetically and not playing into a character of what they’re expected to be, it’s truly so refreshing to see

I love when you can tell the artist is enjoying the interview or it actually has meaning. There are good intentions in this. I will say it is very fitting and expected to see both Nick and noah. Both sides seem to enjoy the conversation, and might I say, Nick is great. He adds on a lot, and I think he should be in more interviews. I like watching interviews, but it feels very dry as of right now. Hearing the same questions you can tell when people don't do research and it isn't fun. As for this, I enjoyed it, although I'm not in the anime spectrum. It's a great interview. Good job to both sides.

I saw them live in Des Moines, When they did the Artificial S. Anime background drop it blew me away. I didn't know they were anime fans until I saw that, and the merch they were selling. Then I hopped on KZfaq 2 weeks later and saw this!

I enjoyed this. I used to do audio and I did alot of metalcore shows when I lived in florida. I bonded with alot of the crew and bands in this genre. It's filled with nerds who like metal. I can attest to that. Cool asf interview. I saw bad omens last month. Highlight of the summer so far. Probably my favorite band right now. I was curious about their visuals and this interview makes so much sense. I like the lead singer. Noah. He's cool asf. Peace

Ola knows what hes talkin bout. My dude has a special ear for music, production, and all the technical aspects. Im with your thought of "Ive never heard of it bein done, but it would not suprise me at all" Wolfgang Van Halen said it on Coffee With Ola. He says keys, synth or orchestral stuff is perfectly fine to have tracked cuz u may not have a keyboard player or cant necessarily travel with a full orchestra, but "the guitar, bass, vocals and drums should b real. Learn how to play your own shit! I dont do anything in the studio that I cant do live" I agree 100% Too much backing tracks or over production and you might as well jus listen to the album. Nice topic to cover brother! Metal needs to b the one genre to keep some dignity and prove we can play what we say we can play. 🤘🏻
