The next arcs in the Light Novel are more interesting and better. 2nd arc is like SAO and guessing who the enemy is from among them. 3rd arc is when Ripple returns as a Main Character and the story is like the "24" series in the U.S. television. 4th Arc is when Snow White will return as a main character the story takes place in an underground facility.

So the novel actually bothers on giving the characters some depth?

This. The second arc alone is a huge improvement over the content the anime adapted. Characters are much better fleshed out, and their deaths actually push the plot forwards in meaningful ways. Many of the characters even have their own character arcs incorporated into the main plot line. This ensemble cast setup really makes nearly everyone feel like they could be a main character. Highly suggest checking it out if you were even slightly interested in the anime. This series may end up surprising you.

An anime adaptation of Restart (the next volume), would be a dream come true! Restart is arguably the best written arc in this series. The first season was more of a prologue to a much larger overarching plot.

Something the book did better was focus on only a couple of characters and really take their time getting you to root for them. They still tell/show you what happens to the others and they do cover their personal stories in side material, but the main book mostly focuses on a core cast and isn't so... obvious about who is going to die and how. There's even a really nice element of mystery and suspense to it all that is maintained and improved upon over the book series to where MGRP books can almost read like whodunits. The anime just... flopped at that. Completely. And has all the subtly of a brick to the face.

@@purpleyxl2202 Tama's power is to create holes. This typically has a more utility-based usage for easy escape and movement. However, she literally made one inside Cranberry's body and that's what exploded her.

Well, good news is it's getting another anime! Must have done well enough, I suppose. I'm surprised myself that it's getting another season.

If you like seeing magical girls in life or deaths situations, than read the light novels! Each arc has its own characters and story. Snow white and ripple are reoccurring characters and there are many more to come!

I'd be more interested once it gets to season 3. Limited was my favorite two parts of the novels. Not that I have a problem with Restart though. One of my favorite magical girls in the whole series is there.

The brilliant part about that moment isn't just that it foreshadows how dark this anime will get but it foreshadows how Snow White will be from the end of this season onward. The Snow White of the books usually wears that numb expression as a baseline, especially when hunting down and fighting evil Magical Girls later on.

Snow white is ny favourite character too, so cute, so cool, i love her
