For context: She used to be an absolute monster of a girl when she was young, and split the head of one of the main boys, scarring him. A massive fight happened, like all the neighborhood kids vs just her, in an all out brawl, and she lost, but just barely, only about 2 people were still up when she went down. After this she lost a lot of her viciousness, and those 2 other girls, while her friends, also sort of keep her inner demon in check, or at least watch for it. This isn't magic or super powers, this was just pure beatings. So when they ask for a fight to see who's strongest, she doesn't have a concept of fair play, or sport, so she still has that thinking that a fight means to utterly beat you down with any means.

I think she is a real sociopath. But after being beat she tried to hide it to fit in with society and became her normal timid/meek self. But in this case it shows that she still doesnt understand people and emotions, she doesn't understand their boundaries.

Habara has A Past. When she and the other kids were younger, Habara terrorized the neighborhood, and like a dozen kids had to team up to defeat her. The running gag is that Habara is like a demon that's been reformed. The characters make casual references to this fact and it doesn't even occur to Habara to be offended. She knows what she is.

Habara was a monster bully in middle school, a real sociopath. But the neighborhood kids ganged up to beat her (barely), and she was submissive afterwards. I think she is still a sociopath, but is normally worried about going overboard and revealing it, so comes off as timid. But times like this she reveals she is still a monster that doesnt understand people underneath.

My dad once told me a story about a guy hitting on my mom when they were dating. My dad didn't take to kindly of this and the other guy said, "lets take it outside." Once out side the guy turned around, went hi ya, and got in a karate stance. My dad went he ya and kicked him in the nuts. Fight over. Learning a martial art is good in all but if you're not going pro, than your mind needs to be for the street and not the ring. Also, great anime. I think I'll watch it again.

The anime also features her backstory. Basically, she used to be a pretty vicious bully. She only mended her ways after something like 10 kids ganged up on her and beat her up. (In the anime it's presented in a way that it doesn't seem so dark but in real life it would be.)

For context, the girl was the worst bully in grade school. She disfigured one of the boys in the show and he fears her whenever shes around. It took an entire team of school kids to take her down. The girl with the glasses is technically supposed to keep her in check if she ever decides to get aggressive again.
