I tested this and used a cheat mod took Eunech and a buch of fertility and well you can make kids.

Was playing today and got 3 girls, all of which were geniuses. Finally got a son and he got the inbred trait because I married a kinsman. My succession laws at the time were agnatic.

Wolf6119 why is it that only muslims get the event to threaten your wife to have a son. Which I didn't even know existed until after my 32nd girl, he finally takes his first wife aside and issues an ultimatum to have a son or ELSE.

ZanathKariashi I've never even heard of this event. I've only played a few games with muslim rulers, and I've never really had a problem with sons (4-5 wives tends to lower the chances of all girls). I have had the event where two of your wives fall in love with each other and drive off a cliff though. That one was pretty humorous.

Eightball Irish don't be a jackass. The proper demonym is "American", not "United States of American". You don't call yourself "Republic of Irish" or "United Kingdom of British and Northern Irish". It's totally valid for Americans to call themselves American.

+Manuel Rojas The point is, 'Americans' (those who live in the US) don't have a proper word to call themselves as a collective without referencing to their continent as far as I know, so they use 'American' because they live in the United States of America. The problem here is not the americans, but the name of their country xD

Arumba truly is the dominating force for CK2 on KZfaq and perhaps among the entire CK2 gaming community. If you don't believe that statement then try to reconstruct what he accomplished with a count defending against the Norse. The Hungary playthrough is spectacular but the Fight the Norse playthrough is unparalleled. Absolutely fantastic display of dominating game mechanics.

First, came here from both Northernlion and Quill18, I'm probably going to stick around and check out more of your stuff, you seem pretty cool. Second, I didn't know Ireland was considered the land of the newbs. It makes my happiness at creating the Empire of Britannia from a start in Dublin kind of silly now. :|

What did you do to see what prvinces you have CB's to attack? Is it something that came with The Old Gods or is it part of one of the mods you are using?

What aggravates me so much about so many ck2 videos for beginners is that they all have DLC that the beginners are unlikely to have. We're beginners. We haven't ponied up for any DLC because we don't know yet if we'll like the game.

protip: when starting as a ruler, if you choose a character without using ruler designer in ANY way - you can change secession laws right away and there is no short reign penalty - atleast this is what I experienced choosing the count of dublin in 1055

Seeing as I can't play the 2nd one, I played Crusader kings one and....well, Ireland is a very nice place to start. My England always ends in rebellion. :( I REALLY want to play CK2, but my gaming apparatus is too...low grade to play it :(

I think you can click on the county name but I think you need a dlc to do that.

Yes, also renaming all bhioperies to be same as the county name helps. And there is setting in the rules screen to force inglish on the title names

Type "charinfo (count, king, duke, etc)_(name of your character)" in the console in order to give you more info about characters. It shows ID, health, fertility and some other stuff that I haven't noticed.

Arumba, are you an official partner, or does that only happen if you're full time? If you are, you should set these as official playlists so the playlist can be accessed from the video, I'm not sure why only partners can do that, it's pretty dumb.

Yes I agreed, the big problem with the old gods start is the vikings that conquered almost all scotland and england, if the AI declare war on you before you can conquer atleast 5~8 places, you are death.

I started this game by playing Leinster in 867, I easily managed to take half of Ireland but the Norse own a single county in the Island and I can't kick them out because they have 5k troops in mainland England and they call in almost all of the Norse Jarls. :(

should be funny to see what you do with the hopefully good position arumba left you and another thing arumba said that guy he sent out could get blinded is that somethign you can do to people too or is it only something that can happen to your own people sent out ive never really seen anyone do it themselves but i also didnt know other rulers could blind/castrate people
