If anyone wants to run this deck and is looking for some good backrow protection, don’t sleep on Dark Sacrifice. You get 3 free copies from the danger solo gate, it allows you to protect any card destruction at the cost of sending one lv3 monster from your deck to your grave. You can send scarm and use it’s effect pick up Lilith or tour guide at the end of the turn.

So let me start by saying you have a new subscriber here! I only run rogue/anti-meta in both MD and the TCG. I find it to be very satisfying to make a meta player rage against a non meta deck. Lair is also one of my top 3 favorite decks of all time. What really got me though was your amazing commentary of the duels. Keep up the good work!!!

You could add Mask Hero II to go into Dark Law after resolving Doom Virus Dragon since his effect is lingering and does not require him to be face-up

I like the editing you do! definitely different! But I'm so happy someone else thought to do this! I have a similar deck in a deck box somewhere and I must say it is very fun. For me at least. It's one of those shower thought decks where it's a funny idea that probably shouldn't work but works anyways.

The fact this has so many views and you have so little subscribers is super criminal! Your video quality as well as gameplay analyzing is on par with people like Loom. Def an earned sub and I really hope the channel grows!!

Great editing. Great duels. Buster Blader is actually cracked specifically because of stopping “activations”. It completely cucks my Kozmos sometimes since the biggest draw of Kozmos is they activate their effects off field by paying for cost. Although like you saw, the best way to deal with BB is actually trap cards.

Also, it's a pain in the ass to use since you have to type out the card to search, but Mind Crush might be an interesting addition to this deck since you get to see your opponent's hands so much.

You big brain. You used the constant knowledge of your opponent’s hand to see if it was clear to activate certain cards or if you needed to bait. More importantly with that knowledge you knew when to make aggressive plays without being punished.

I had the mats and wanted a fun deck for casual play. I went 12-0 in casual and 7-2 in Ranked. I had some lucky top decks but Calling Eradicater Trap on Eldlich and Spell on Striker felt so good. My favorite cards to play with Lair of Darkness is a Lord of the Heavenly Prison (protects your set spells/traps) and the three Wicked God cards. If you use Small World, Ahrima and Lilith are your starters, Lord of the Heavenly Prison or Diabolos are your bridge cards and that will lead to all 3 Wicked God cards

Consider playing Link Spider instead of Levi. You need two differently named monsters to go into Beat Cop. Use a token to go into Spider. Then Spider and a Token to go into Beat Cop. Same applies to your other link twos. Also Dimensional Barrier is a great budget alternatives for the Scythe/Sanctum package. While weaker it can't be Ash'd which is huge.

Definitely gonna revise my Dankest Lair deck. Used a rank 8 variant beatdown which is hilarious but this seems like an even more hilarious way to troll.

I actually play a variation of this that run certain handtraps like gamma, nibiru, token collector and maxx c with the goal of tributing my opponents monsters using the virus cards mostly. I still enjoy playing it although it starts to be quite annoying when I either don't get the field spell, or the enemy has so many ways of removing the field spell. Seeing this video, I might try things out differently. I actually refused to include tour guide in my deck mostly because of the permanent effect negation. Thanks for the tips

If you want to be more spacy about this you can also add prohibition so you can add another way to completely counter 1 card like eldlich or just use it to call ggez

Lol the new kaiser glider dragon is a quick effect to tribute a monster on your field which that be a nice hand trap for lair of darkness. I know it's not in master duel since it's still new but just a thought if they add it. Other then that I have most of these cards minus the prosperity and tour guide and the burning abyss plus slot of the extra deck but I do have all the critias fusions just wish we had a better way to search this stuff or I hope we get a monster version of critias like how timeias got one.

10:07 Being a little pedantic here, but Swordsoul didn't make a mistake, unless they had Ash in hand for the Ahrima search and just decided not to use it for some reason. Blackout targets one Wyrm they control and specifically 2 cards their opponent controls. The second card you had on field was Super Poly, which obviously can't be responded to. That's why Swordsoul kinda sucks despite them being consistent. They go against any rogue deck that isn't heavily reliant on monster effects and they just fall apart. Cool matches, though. Forgot how good Doom Virus Dragon is.

Personally I think critias is the best of the legendary dragons all the versions of it are super useful. If I need filler cards I just add that one. I’m trying to figure out a way to make an effective deck with all three.

In my mind, if a special summon negates all the effects of the monster you summoned, that means ALL of them are negated forever until you special summon again, including quick effects. I'm so confused...

this is like kaiju but better, because the virus and lair do so so so much more.

everytime I play lair, it bricks so hard and can't even keep back row for long (even with lord of heavenly prison) in my deck, just gets blasted away by harpies. almost never fails to get wiped before Lilith can come out to play. spend the entirety of the match recovering

You need King of the Sky Prison so you can search Critias from deck and it’s searchable with ahrima. I have a deck like this with 1 critias

Not seeing ash blossom from opening hand 9/10 games plus only one 5min long turn synchro/fusion/xyz/link lockdown set up makes me think these games are the rare few. Fun to watch but against the toxic meta it's sadly falling short unless you get set up first AND don't get handtrapped

For this deck I feel like the Lord or the heavenly prison is just so vital when you go first, as it let's you keep all these trap cards safe if they just rip mto a harpies or a lightning storm. Can't wait for the Alice and Loris ladies of lament to be added to really make this deck shine. If those do get added, what do you think would need to be dropped to keep the deck functional or are they just auto includes and increase the deck size?
