Hey Bart, quick question on the first hand, why were you able to eliminate 99-KK (no spade) which is now turning the hand into a bluff? If he were to have that range, you could have a lot of AsX that he could be trying to fold out with a river bluff raise. Other than that range (which is also heavily discounted for not cbetting flop) I agree that this looks very nutted. Big props on the fold.

Bart, on the AK hand…. you said you were planning on betting rivers for value to represent a busted flush draw. The flush comes through, and you bet for value anyway. Your opponent would have to think you are bluffing to call you with AT, AJ, or AQ, but what can he put you on that AJ beats?

Hey Bart, on the last hand with one card up, why do you think its best to check your entire range on the flop? with a 9 up, he can only have 99/A9 or may be Q9/J9. But only 99 beats your AJ. But if he actually had 99, dont you think betting on the flop is our only way of taking the pot down? Coz thats the only way we can represent JJ. And if he doesnt have 99, I dont think he is going to commit any more money in any way not matter when you bet unless he hits is hole card. So i think a flop bet would also work as equity denial from a Q/J/9 rolling off on the turn. Why not just bet now and give ourselves the most chance to take the pot down?

On the AK hand, Burt showed his hand even though he was calling. The other fellow never showed his hand. I’m wondering if this is because he’s an amateur so Burt plays in a friendly way? If a pro did this, would he wait for the other fellow to show his hand?

He means the majority of people would just call or fold with Ax (which is a pair of aces on the turn). Which means that when someone raises they're representing either better than Ax or complete air.

CrushlivePoker Hmmm seems like you're targeting 3 or so hands (AQ,AJ,A10). Really a weird spot to bluff or value bet. Seems like check calling as a bluff catcher is the most optimal play.

At 3:10 Bart says that it’s very strange that Torelli over calls the flop bet by Glantz after Bart calls, can anyone explain to me WHY it’s such a strange move? Can’t he just call with the hopes of his opponents doing the betting for him on future streets? There’s only gonna be a small handful of cards that he doesn’t like on the turn and River right?
@CertifiedSlamboy
@CertifiedSlamboy Жыл бұрын
It's not strange if you know his hand... It's strange if he had any other hand that would want to continue. All other draws etc (that want to continue) would raise or would have lead out. Anything else (not a strong made hand or strong draw) would have folded.

How does he know these guys are 3 betting light all the time... when I play at the casino, 3 bet usually means AA or KK
@benforshizzle
@benforshizzle 4 жыл бұрын
It's all player dependent. Usually at lower stakes people will not 3 bet enough, so like you say, they will usually have a high pair. You have to know who you're playing against, what kind of hands they've shown down when they 3 bet, how many times you've seen them 3 bet, their mental state (tilted or not) and you will get a more accurate measure of the chance that they're 3 betting light.

I think the right play with the AJ is to bet small on the flop, then jam turn. He is capped, you are not, therefore you should be exploiting that fact by valuebetting and bluffing mercilessly. He is guaranteed to lose if you bet at correct bluff frequency. Capitalize on your range advantage!

@dochmbi
@dochmbi 7 жыл бұрын
Heres the problem with the first hand. Its very hard for you to represent a bluff when you lead out on the river and you need to be able to do that to get value against these competent opponents. You called a flop bet on this multiway flop oop, which is already strong and you dont have the As or even T9 either cause that makes a pair too. I would check the river too here.

It rounds to 0. He’d have to hit runner runner 5,5 sets 88 already hit a set. With the players remaining the odds are about .1% it will go 5,5. It would literally take 1000 run outs for it to go 55. So rounded to 0.

He probably said "you're good" after Bart called. So he just showed because he's nice and doesn't wanna make the other guy show his trash hand. This is what you should do if you want someone to come back and keep playing with you rather than be a dick and ask him to show his trash. Then he might not want to play there anymore due to embarrassment. And Bart had ace high so he still gets some information that it was in fact a bluff without a pair.

Hand with the AcKc, you could even go to a higher level on the end and reraise. If you think he is bluff raising, you could extract a further raise by reraising his bluff raise and win a huge pot with AK high :D

+Miyamoto Musashi that doesnt even make any sense. If you think he is bluff raising, whats the point of raising his bluff when he will not call it. At that point he is going to fold or go all in, which in most cases, he will fold.

Hey Bart! Never say never... I'm pretty sick sometimes and here's a boss af line I took the other day: 5-10-20. Mega fish makes it 120 utg +1. LAG in CO calls, TAG on button calls. We make it 400 in sb w/ AdJh. Spot folds, others call. Flop is Kh9dTd. We c-bet 400 blocking a lot of strong hands w/ okay equity (thoughts?). Btn calls. Turn is the Ah. We check for pot control. He bets 800. I pick up some strong tells and figure I don't have the best hand...but I have outs, and the Ad and can perfectly rep diamonds here. I call. River is the 7d and I lead 1400. He has 1700 back and tank folds... #fishorbeast? What do you think?
