A real pleasure to watch you and your dad working.... It's a big job keeping the sheep up to the shearers, especially when they are going so fast....they don't like stopping and starting!! Your daughter is lovely. She is so lucky to have been born in Australia, the best country in the World....🦘🇦🇺

Thanks Mate! It definitely is a big job but it’s worth it to get all the crutching done in one and a half days! It has taken us up to 3 weeks to crutch them all ourselves in the past!

All in a days work on the farm. Like the old style gate hitches. Makes for easier opening and closing of your paddocks. Great video.

How many sheep are in one pen out of the 2,023? Groups of 300.... 400.... it's pretty much all confinement hogs here in Iowa, 2 to 3000 in a building, some cattle too, but the going confinement way too
@merrettcontracting-austral70703 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! Anywhere from 200 to 400 is usually what we run maybe a few more or less but about that
@tompreiss50103 жыл бұрын
How big of groups do you brake them down into per pasture????
@merrettcontracting-austral70703 жыл бұрын
It all depends but dad normally likes to run mobs of 200-400

Such hard work. What happens to the wool?
@merrettcontracting-austral70703 жыл бұрын
The wool is taken to our shearing shed where we’ll press it into 2 bales and then will be sold to be likely washed and turned into socks
