France's snap parliamentary elections seem to be swinging towards the far-right in a huge setback for President Emmanuel Macron. Marine Le Pen far-right National Rally (RN) party won a resounding victory in the first round of France's parliamentary election on June 30, exit polls showed. "The French have shown their willingness to turn the page on a contemptuous and corrosive power," Le Pen said. Experts believe the final result will depend on days of horsetrading before next week's run-off. Macron faces a serious challenge to prevent the far right from taking an absolute majority and control of government in a historic first
