Messi wasn't used in a right way by Rijkaard in his early Barca times and he is nearly invisible in the Argentinian squad. In reality both guys are probably right to some extent. To cruyff the fluid diamond is a team based on the diamond, where the diamond is maintained and the team shifts to maintain it, while the other guy (dont know his name) thinks the diamond can be broken out of and into during the match depending on the necessity of the situation. Both approaches probably have a great deal of merit to them.
