Well, each phase does have 10 HP, and seeing as there are 4 phases, Frankensteinway's health is 40, the most out of ANY character in the game, not to mention on phases 2-4, he gains a shield that has to be deactivated. But only on phase 4, does Frankensteinway's charge attack break his shield.

Immortality sucks mostly if you're the only one to have it, because then you're just gonna outlive all your friends and family. That goes double if it goes with an added catch. Vampires for instance have to drink blood and stick to shadows. I for one wouldn't want that kind of immortality.

It's like Dead Ringer for Cadence but for the new vampire character, so it's a guaranteed boss specific to her before The Conductor.

Frakensteinway does have a predictable pattern, I would say amoung final tier bosses, he is one of the easiest, the conductor on the other hand, that fight is pure madness

There is just TOO much going on: arrow pads, sacrophagus, miniboss, the boss itself... They might have left 1 of these out...

Since it's a Nocturna-specific semifinal boss, it makes sense for there to be so much to deal with, since her cutlass allows here to nullify almost any damage, and her bat form lets her kill more quickly, plus she can fly.

Judging by the fact she was unwittingly turned into a vampire, and the ending cutscene where she sees herself as a human again when looking in the broken mirror, she might believe that she can use the lute’s power to become human again. Except the lute slowly corrupts whoever uses it, and her eyes turn golden when she stops and looks at it. I think that’s implying that the Golden Lute is influencing her mind so that she keeps it instead of destroying it.

I remapped my diagonal inputs to Up+ZL Up+ZR Down+ZL Down+ZR Actual down+left inputs where too inconsistent on a controller

sometimes but most bosses for me at least are relatively easy with just the regular dagger or the upgraded dagger. All in the vanilla game are pretty easy with the base weapon minus the final boss for Aria and for me at least necromancer II. I can never get him right with melody.

The bat form deals four damage and heals for half a heart every five kills

The bat form is essentially a blood dagger that heals every 5 hits instead of ten, thats why everyone is listing varying damage

I agree with you on Death Metal, Deep Blues, and Coral Riff. However, the added complexity with the King Conga fight is that you HAVE to stop on those blank beats, which admittedly sounds simple, but is really difficult in practice. If you don't stop then King Conga comes after you, and that's where the hearts come into play. If you flub enough times that you kill him then you're fine, but if you can kill his conga lines then he himself is easy. As for Fortissimole, I haven't played his fight yet, but it seems to me as though this guy cheesed the hell out of it. The enemy that was chasing him looks like a goblin (moves on every beat and only chases you when your back's turned) which would explain the digging. It looks to me as though the player realized that if he did exactly that pattern then the mole would always pop up, and he would be easy to kill. If he hadn't then the boss fight would've been more interesting.

Double power. Weapon forms change the attack patern, weapon qualities add effect. Titatium: 2 damages. Some people here took this for a boss rush (done with 1st weapon: iron cutlass) but the character and equipment change, it's a (good) compilation.

@@diniswr9434 is literally medium impossible because Nocturna can Move very fast with coda.

It's basically a roguelike + a rhythm game. You have to constantly move to the beat (that's what the heart and all the blue bars at the bottom are for); you cannot make moves off-beat (and your character will sort of lock up for a moment if you try yet enemies will still move, or other bad things can happen, there's two characters that instantly die if you screw it up even once). So you're forced to constantly keep that going the whole time (and some songs are a little faster or slower than others) while dealing with about a bazillion monsters and traps and things on every floor. The rhythm thing also means you cannot stand still; unless you have a couple of extremely specific items, you MUST take some sort of action on every single beat, whether that's moving, attacking, digging, or using an item or spell, otherwise the rhythm breaks (various other things can break it too, like getting hit or digging at a wall with a shovel that cant handle it). Most characters lose their gold multiplier when this happens (which rises as you keep getting kills without screwing up). Some items can also break if the rhythm is lost at any point. So you want to avoid that as much as possible. The game is extremely challenging, but it's got alot of depth and is great fun. Honestly I play alot of roguelikes/lites or whatever blasted term is going around these days, and this is probably the most sheer fun of all of them. You just gotta be ready for the fact that you're going to die alot. It's never unfair though but the learning curve is absolutely brutal. Fantastic soundtrack. Well, soundtracks, plural, there's a bunch of them. It even got a Danganronpa update recently for... whatever baffling reason.
