Wilson you just keep nailing it. I watched this on my phone and noticed my hand shacking a bit as I held it because I was anticipating a jump scare. Perfect tension. Loved just hearing the voices/dialogue throughout because it forces you to imagine/visualize what you’re hearing. BRAVO!!

I've been saying this for years now and some people mock it as lame and just want Jason going on a killing spree again with no name new actors but TRUE FANS understand the importance of a story line before the 1980 classic; the history of Jason's family and history of Crystal Lake. I want it so far back, that we see Pamela as a teen counselor at Crystal Lake around the time it first opened in the late 1920's going into the 1940's , for you fanatics that is actually called in real life CAMP NOBEBOSCO and it opened in 1927. The original mother of Jason "Betsy Palmer" was born a year before the real life camp opened from part 1, so that puts her at 16 in 1942. In the 1980 classic 1958 is the year she made her first kills, so that puts her at 32 (her real life age), so Jason was born when Pam was 21 as I show age 11 of Jason at his death. Hope to see dedicated episodes of Steve Christy's attempt to open Crystal Lake in between the murders/comeback of Pam & ultimately Jason; what a nice twist if Jason had siblings helping him survive/hide.

Wilson, sick trailer as usual. Your creativity and innate understanding of aesthetics are brilliant. I'm never less than amazed by your work. I'd be thrilled if the series ends up being even half as good as the vision you've presented. Wow!

This would be my script... First you have to understand the history of F13th including real life timelines of Betsy Palmer/Pam Voorhees. Real Life CAMP NOBEBOSCO aka Crystal Lake opened in 1927. The original mother of Jason played by Betsy Palmer was born a year before the real life camp opened from part 1, so that puts her at 16 in 1942. In the 1980 classic, 1958 is the year she made her first kills, so that puts her at 32, so Jason was born when Pam was 21 as I show age 11 of Jason at his death. That all said...this series should start with a young Pam Voorhees as a kid attending Camp at Crystal Lake sometime in the 30's when she is 8-10 yrs old, therefore we are introduced to Jason's grandparents. Going back this far allows us to build history for Pam in this series with Camp Crystal Lake. We would see Pam go from a young kid attending camp to becoming a counselor in the 40's when she is around 19-21 (remember Pam was 21 when she had Jason, SO.........This leads to my next point, PAM MEETS BOY AT CAMP AND THEY CONCEIVE JASON AT CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE further connecting Jason's link to this camp and the significance the camp holds over Jason. This boy becomes Pams husband. At this point, we step away from Crystal Lake and get into Jason's home life, we get back to getting to know his grandparents, parents, and possibly siblings if she had any more kids, maybe even a twin?!?! Jason's parents live right outside Crystal Lake and we witness life away from Crystal Lake in the town, his school and so on. Finally, Jason continues his parents tradition of summer camp and attends Crystal Lake around age 8, we get to experience life on Crystal Lake for Jason in quite a few episodes with his mother as the cook. This eventually leads up to the bullying, ignoring from counselors and PRESUMED DEATH (drowning) which I will get into soon... Jason's body is never recovered, Pam goes into depression leaving the camp and returning to home. PLOT TWIST: Jason never drowned, he faked his death to escape is abusive father and bullying at camp which pushed him over the edge. Jason is in communication with his siblings who help him survive in the wilderness; think of it like a disturbed young Michael Myers until Myers snapped as an adult finally, this is what happens to Jason, he is normal until he becomes an adult and starts to lose his mind. Jason's siblings build him the famous SHACK we all know from PART 2 (1981 movie), bring him food and clothes but keep his condition/whereabouts a secret from his parents. Now fast forward to 1958, Pam stalks the counselors after years of drinking and depression, kills the 2 (as we witnessed from part 1). We get into many episodes about the camp closing and eventual reopening in 1979-80. As we know Pam goes on another killing spree and beheaded, Jason gets word from his siblings that his mom is planning to kill from reading her diary. Jason eventually witnessed his mother's beheading and takes over the killing spree as we know it. And only now, do we get to Jason turning into a killing machine. Some other twists: Jason is reunited with his father after Pams death in the Shack after his father goes searching for him, siblings are helping Jason hide and dispose of bodies (incinerator maybe?) if say they work at the morgue (just free thinking here) ...And this can go on and on but that is how this all could get kick started

you need to add the effect of "ki ki ki ma ma ma"

It's about time they focused on the beginning. I hope they don't forget that Pamela practiced witchcraft and that's how she brought Jason back from the depths of Crystal Lake.

1 Talia Ryder as Trish, she good girl who has a boyfriend she works at the camp 2 Michael Provost as the boyfriend who worked with Trish and played football 3 Emily Alyn Lind as the friend of Trish who likes to break the rules and also have a crush on the new boy 4 Curran Walters as the bad boy doesn't like rules and doesn't care about anything 5 Julian Hilliard as Tommy Jarvis, the brother of Trish 6 Eric Dane as camp boss and also not a likable person he kind creepy 7 Laurel Marsden as the new camp worked 8 Judith Lvey as Pamela Voorhees

I love the build up and the ending nice job

A24 isn't known for slashers..I hope it's good.

Who's truthful on this release date, they say early 2023, then late 2023, now 2024 ? Real fans are tired of being led on to emptiness !

Friday the 13th is a legend. I've seen many horror movies over my lifetime so far nothing ever will be the 13th. I like to see them really get into detail about the beginnings. Bring in the prequel story!

Not gonna lie, I'm ready for some new Crystal Lake memories:)

Goodness, why does every new show have to make everything look so fresh and clean. I grew up in NJ and went camping many times in the 80's and 90's. Camp grounds were rugged, beatup, kids were always messy, and they just can't seem to get the tone and atmosphere right in anything. It really makes me upset how misleading all these shows depict what life was like in the 80's. Anyway all that said this is one of my favorite horror franchise, glad to see it get some attention again, but for crying out loud get the emotions, atmosphere, and actual way of life right for once.

Sooooo this isnt actually an official trailer? If it isnt that sucks, because that was an awesome trailer. It would be a better, more realistic approach to the Friday the 13th series.
