What I loved about Crystal's run during S12 was that it felt organic. Maybe not absolutely organic, but her upward trajectory in the competition post-Snatch Game felt rewarding and made her spot in the Top 3 so much more sweeter. I will say if the makeover challenge was going to be a double shantay, then Crystal and Jaida should've been a double win (both of them bodied the challenge and it would've given Crystal more of an edge for the crown).

Crystal and Jackie Cox are still two of my favorite Ru girls. They were just so much fun and super talented. Hopefully we'll get them on an All Stars at some point.

People say Crystal should have been low for the Madonna? LOW???? It was by far the funniest and memorable performance (you can even hear the judges laughing), thinking that she should have been in the bottom and wasn't because of riggory is just straight-up delusional imo.

Mmm, I don’t agree that it should be low, but I do think there were performances that were better, specifically Jaida's.

Jaidas was just the best for me. I think she should have been the winner. Crystals was just safe for me.

@@Rios632 Well, I strongly disagree, but it's a difference of opinion that I can accept. Jaida was good, too, so I totally see why someone would love her performance. But at least we agree that "safe" was the worst that Crystal could have gotten.

Utica video is necessary. She has a brilliant mind of an artist, yet people don't give her even a fraction of love Crystal has got.

Agreed. I think it is becuase she didn't have as good an edit. How they edit the show really shows who they favor more than others. Which is sad becuase there are so many talents who have been on the show, but you really only hear about the ones who got the good edit, or the villian one.

she never felt like she was trying to 'produce tv moments' like some queens can. she was just... her. i was drawn to her immediately as i like the oddball queens but she only endeared me more as it went on

Seeing Michelle complain about Crystal having the same makeup between her fashion show and runway in literally episode ONE is heartbreaking, especially when she clearly didn’t. The judges don’t know how to handle alternative queens and it shows. I’m fine with them saying her makeup isn’t good, or they don’t like it, or they’re losing her in it, but saying it’s all the same is…😬😬😬

If you ever get the chance to see Crystal live, DO IT! I saw her during the War on the Catwalk tour and she is unreal. She oozes personality and hilarity. I’m seeing her again next month and I’m so excited!! Love love love her 💗💗💗

The reason why Rupaul loves Crystal's hair is because she used to have a mullet when she was a Greek nymph. Sadly, Merle Pomene, the Greek muse of Tragedy, got jealous of Ru's mullet and cursed her into having snake hair. This is why Ru also hates BFA Queens, since she got turned into a gorgon by their ancestor.

Because she doesn't want to, and frankly she doesn't need to. She's still one of the most beloved queens years after her season aired, she doesn't need a crown to validate her drag, and there's a risk that she might damage her brand if she has to go cutthroat on the competition.

@@thebumpercar1344 that's the same reason a lot of beloved queens chose to not do all stars, and I think it is a very valid reason. Due to the set up of all stars, and the ridiculous, unjust, and idiotic amount of hate the fandom gives queens for just doing the damn show, some queens go from loved to hated, just by going on all stars. This is why we will never see a ton of queens do all stars, even though people constantly ask them to do it. I don't blame the queens for their decision, at all. The fandom ruins everything.

@@punkbaby9554 : People forget how much HATE Alaska got for All Stars 2 - and she won! Alaska probably managed to play the game outside the game of All Stars the best of all the people from AS2. Katya won by not playing the game, Tatianna won by "being robbed", as did Alyssa, Roxxie won by being much nicer on AS2 than she was on S5 (and having an iconic verse), and Detox won by being Detox. In contrast, nobody came out of AS3 lookin good IMHO. Not even Trixie.

@@thebumpercar1344 yes, I agree. For example, look at Naomi eliminating Manila in AS4. Naomi got an unreasonable amount of hate for that decision, even though she was technically playing the game how you "should." The fans cry for more drama, then when it is plopped on their lap, they go into a tizzy and uproar with hatred. The fans take all of the fun out of the show. I'll reiterate what I mentioned in my first reply, this fandom ruins EVERYTHING.

When I first saw Crystal I loved her from the start. I couldn’t imagine anyone else winning the crown. I knew she was being highly favored… but I don’t care she played the game it’s not like Pearl who was doing or giving nothing and they still kept her. She played a smart game. She made this season fun. I was sweating every time she in the bottom and cheering when she was in the top. I love her love her love her.

Re the Madonna Rusical: This is gonna be a VERY unpopular opinion I know, but I think Crystal was rightfully in the top 3. The reason why Jaida wasn't there was because she and Gigi had similar vibes in the Rusical and they could only put one of them on top. And (here comes the contraversial part) I think Jan was... Meh? Don't get me wrongi I know she was technically solid and her coreo was hard, but her performance didn't give me a lot. To this day I remember Crystal's performance way more than Jan's

Pythia and people in general need to calm down when it comes to comparisons. It's bound to happen in any media, just deal with it. If you are ONLY your drag, then that's a you problem. If you write a space opera, you'll be compared to Star Wars. If you make a movie with a weird twist, M. Night Shyamalan will be brought up. If you paint in the style of abstract expressionism, Jackson Pollock will be heard. People are saying all the time that Drag is an art (which it is), so expect comparisons.

Crystal gave me the confidence to start making music. Seeing her confident and unapologetically her made me want the same for me. Season 12 was eventually aired and produced during lockdown, I wrote and recorded my first song in lockdown. I just love how you focused on her confidence cuz I thought I was the only one that felt it
