Eric Young and Chris Armstrong gave Palace a 2-0 lead at Selhurst Park, but David Gregory reduced the deficit with a fine strike. The home side made sure of the points in the second half with a third from Eddie McGoldrick.

Shame there's no footage of the lap of honour. Last time the home crowd saw Thomas and McGoldrick in Palace colours at Selhurst

And with the 3 points in the bag us Palace fans thought we were safe. A week later we were relegated thanks to Oldham's phenomenal end to the season.
