@@jceh8868 I don't see why this can't happen at places like the kop end or the stretford end where the most loyal supporters go there and theres no plastics. Why should we settle for saying anfield has a great atmosphere when really all they do is sing before a game and then keep quiet once it's started when if we really tried we could make an atmospheres like selhurst park at every stadium in England if every club tried? I hope that in the next 10-15 years more clubs could incorporate that atmosphere into every game it would make the bpl a far better league.

The ultras scene only exists in Scotland unfortunately, atmosphere's in England are shit. I wish we had Scottish atmosphere's in the Premier League. I'm a Manchester City fan and would be part of an ultras group if there was one set up in our fanbase (our atmosphere really needs to be louder). Unfortunately, Crystal Palace's group (Holmesdale Fanatics) have been disbanded since they disagree with where they are seated in their stadium. I hope to see them back soon.

The problem mate with English clubs is that you have a lot of plastic and tourist fans who don't know any chants etc. Would be good to see other clubs in England have a dedicated Ultras group. I've only seen Crystal Palace and Boro's ultras groups. Rangers have a dedicated section for our Ultras which are the Union Bears who are fantastic.

EDUCATION RE: ULTRAS - I see a lot of people don't know what ULTRAS mean. And somehow they think it doesn't exist in England. What is a Ultra? ultra term was originated in Italy and it basically means that a group of hardcore supporters (England has lots) do a lot of singing, flag waving, banner waving and flares in every home and away games. THAT IS ALL. They don't need drums, they don't need any special badge or come from any special country. English teams have had the best supporters in the world. Yes, it has calmed down A LOT in the stadiums for most teams because of the so called safe seating/ all seater stadiums (no standing sections allowed!), big flags pretty much banned throughout the game and ticket prices now costing so much that the average person cannot afford to go. Clubs becoming globally commercialized as well. I support MU and the away support is phenomenal, but the home support has a lot of random supporters from all over the world, norway, denmark, canada, china...etc. But the hardcore supporters still exist. Thats why England fans out sing every other country in the world football at national level (world cups). Personally I don't like the term "ultras" because it can be associated with racism/fascism and generally could mean their ideology comes before the actual wellbeing of the football club. Respect to CP fanatics though, the best in England.
