Being an ECE graduate I can say he is absolutely right. Ece has a huge scope but it is better to go with CSE if your college is tier 3.

There is some differences in ece,ee and eee. EE(electrical engineering): semiconductor,chips etc. EEE(ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICC ENGINEERING): EMI,TRANSFORMERS, some subject from ee branch. It is the toughest branch and for tough people. ECE(Electronics and Communication engineering): subjects from Electronics, communication, telecommunications, internet of things, coding in circuits, Basic programming etc. It's an evergreen branch because EE+CSE=ECE(Majority with Electronics with programming)

ECE is good because it leaves your options open you can do ms in eee or cs you can apply for gov jobs and most importantly for people who want to go to core jobs like nvidia or intel but know that only few jobs exist like that you can have the assurance that you can go into it sector as compared to eee which do not have that option

BITS Pilani Electronics is also very good definitely a lot better than many NITs also it has access to CSIR lab... placements is also nearly 18 lakhs.

bits pilani all campus are better than any nits . pilani is on par with iit kanpur and goa hydrabad with top 6-7 iits

Bruh , dtu/nsut tier 1 ?? Who are you kidding? With 85% home state reservation they can't be considered even tier 2 let alone tier 1.

Nits too have 50% state reservations. Average and median packages of Cs is 18lakhs.All the top companies which visit IITs also come to DTU. Location wise it's better since it's in national capital. Placements wise on par with top 3 Nits.

i always felt in short that ece of a tier above college is better than taking cs of a lower tier (not from tier 4 to 3 upgrade but except that) s but for same tier college cs is better because down the road after 10 yrs your college name and not the branch is looked at and with ece you don't have to even go through the initial struggle( a bit more than cs but still jee wale hon same attitude ke saath samhal lena): )

And according to padhai, nsut ki ece better hai but waha work load dtu sai jaayda hai Dtu mai chill mahool hai thoda and infrastructure better hai (dtu mai ac classes bhi hai) So now u decide.. Maii bhi ece lai rha hu and teeno mai mill rhi hai, most probably dtu ece lunga mai..!

They’re not exactly the same ETC can be called a sub branch of ECE but in majority tier 2-3-4 colleges the syllabus same….tier 1 may have some differences

Bhayya ek video mechanical pr banaiye . Like agar older IITs me mechanical mil jaye to kya cse (google, microsoft..) jesi companies me jaa skte h ? Or agar nhi bhi jaa paye to kya mechanical ki core companies me bhi thik thak placement (above 20 lpa 🙂) mil skta h ? Or kya mechanical se hame foreign me bhi placement mil skta h . For placements? Then ofcourse top B'luru colleges..VIT CSE has an average of just 6-7LPA RVCE ECE has an avg of 12LPA, so it's much higher..Even BMS/RIT have 10-11LPA as the average..
