People always say how they love NTPs the most on the internet but in real life only very few people deliberately want to get to know us and won't think we are "weird". Not saying that we are not also at fault. Gotta try to blend in and seem "normal"

I learned a language for an INTP, I stalked him for 6 months. I showed up to his classes. Full peacock mode just to get him to date me. I met his parents (which I hate doing and will avoid) I picked up his hobbies, I even took neuroscience courses with him (I did a philosophy specialist in logic) which I had no business being in. The extent I went to whoa this man was ridiculous. 3 hours walks outside in the Canadian winter just to talk to him. Ni hero wanted this man and the rest was history.

I am an INFJ and I know an ENTP from highschool. When we first met we were still both immature. I was so sensitive and he was so rude and blunt. There was a time I commented something about what we did in elementary during a group project and he was like "You know that elementary is obviously different from highschool right?". And he's called me dumbass and things like that haha. So basically I was scared of him. Then we haven't talked for like two years (not that we're close lol). We grew up and I think we got a little less immature. But I was still scared of him. I was so cautious haha. We started interacting more often and that was the time I discovered more about what it is like being an INFJ. I didn't feel worthless anymore and I felt like a better person. Then one time he complimented me all of a sudden. He said, "You're actually talented. You just have to be more confident about it." I felt so happy because most of the times guys would just tell me I'm pretty, I'm cute and that they like me because I'm beautiful. I just hate people like that. Throughout the whole school year he started being friendly with me. As if he was a whole different person. He gets closer (physically) to me most of the times. He started to talk more. During debates, he would agree with me but we did argue (like a friendly argument) one time. I was ranting about something that our teacher did wrong. He told me it was right but I kept on insisting it was wrong. It was wrong because it was unfair and he told me this: "It was right because the world is unfair." And I was absolutely speechless. First because I agree with him. And second was because I couldn't find anything in my mind to prove him wrong. Because technically our teacher was still wrong but it's true that the world had always been unfair. He messed with my ideals and yet I couldn't talk back because what he said was true. I was so annoyed yet I was feeling weird when I saw him smiled after witnessing my dumbfounded face on. Sorry this got too long. Maybe I just miss the old times hehe. I hope he doesn't find this comment 😂

The compromise as an INTJ is to date INTPs. My INTP ex was the QUIETEST man I'd ever met. No idea why I was so attracted to him, chased him for 6 months trying to get him to date me. Eventually he agreed to date me and we dated for 2 years. Most peaceful relationship I've ever had. Mainly date INTPs now.

@@HR-lm3jh Personally, when Ni hero deems someone 'worth it' I will stop at nothing to get it. Same with men/women. If Ni hero wants them I will persist until I have you or you tell me you're not interested. It's literally lazer focused stalking. I full on started showing up to INTPs classes asking him to spend time with me or teaching him shit he didn't know. 6 months of daily 'good morning/good night' texts. Taking interest in his interests. I started learning his native language (Portuguese) just to impress him. Full peacock mode to show him I was genuinely interested in him and wanted only him. 6 months of work, totally worth it and would do it again as I was determined to earn his loyalty.

As ENTP,, when I was younger I used to like really debate someone and would for a long time point out the things they were doing wrong so that they can reach the truth and know the errors in their rational and logic they were doing wrong. However now older I have realized when I am debating a subject with some people who literally don't comprehend what a logical argument is, their critical thinking skills are so screwed starting when they were only kids and their understanding of Science is so terrible that when I see this person I'm talking to unable to comprehend the logic and science I am telling them. I just give up because its pointless. They won't change thinking because they don't understand the logic and science you are telling them.

ENTP's are creepy and intimidate :) I'm a creepy ENTP and I have been creeped by other ENTP's. They also can predict where you will be, where you will go, who you will hangout, what you are about to do and your future mistakes. I have creeped out many people with my extroverted intuition. I have predicted that these guys were going to attempt to rob my boyfriend and I and at gas station and I had to manipulate the situation by injecting that a scenario that we had no money that the man was my broke father instead of my older boyfriend and thank good he was driving his crappy work car and as we left they had rob someone right after us at gun point at the same gas station. I have predicted several steps that my best friend who is also ENTP that she would take the following steps the predicted her outcome flawlessly. I was arrogant about it too because she told me that I was wrong and these several steps of action all took place. It is very easy for me to see what my friend is going to do especially because she and I have been friends since college over a decade and we have the same cognitive functions. I'm getting better and better at this the more I learn about myself and others. Thank you C.S. Joseph!

I will clap for someone if they achieve something even if I dislike them greatly and they dislike me back. Because someone achieving something is uplifting and difficult and is great for that person as an individual and deserves recognition regardless of if I like them or not. I will not let my dislike of someone stop me from applauding someone for achieving something that is great, making myself withhold deserved praise just because I dislike them, that's so petty.

@@dieharder2k Yes but also people that are very competitive won't clap so SPs and even INTJs and ENTJs may get a bit jelly. Even some SJs are weird about it, like they feel you didn't work hard enough to get the praise or something. So INTPs and ENTPs don't seem as bad about it 😄

As an INTP, I cope with this by not indulging in a situation unless required. Often people aren't interested in topics Intuitive Types are. So we joke around and talk about our day, our work .etc. I'd go to a party and everyone wants to listen to pop, while a select few of us wanna try something new. People wanna be comfortable within their reality and I respect that. Around other Inuitive Types, it's a mind-blowing brain stimulating session ❤️

When you finally decide to watch Steins;Gate, I highly recommend that you watch it’s English dub. There was an incredible effort put into the dub’s script, and it was co-written by the voice actor who plays Okabe. It makes every character interaction much more entertaining, and even stuff like the core message of the story is improved by the dub script’s construction. I know tons of people who have only seen the sub are gonna disagree with me, but I have to say that usually they then go on to point out just one scene from the original Japanese that’s arguably just as good in the english version. Also (slight SPOILER alert) I think you eventually find that Okabe isn’t naturally an ENTP but he has reasons for acting the way he does edit: though I’m not actually sure about that last part

Story Time!!! I have two ENTP best friends (they've never met lol) and they're the best and super cute! However a new co-worker came to my job and I typed him as an ENTP (making him the third one over ever met) So I was super excited and started talking to him about psychology and being really nice. And he started being really creepy. Or at least that's how I perceived it. I guess it's mainly because I'm an Intp and he made me uncomfortable, but had I been an xNTJ the things he did probably wouldn't be creepy too them? Anywho he kept buying me food/drinks (like three times a week), and convincing the boss to put us on rotations together at work so we would always be together, he'd walk me to my car after work because he started parking next to me, and then asked the boss to have his hours for the week changed to match mine so we have the same days off, and also because my job is seasonal asked to be transferred to the same place I would be transferring to in the summer. He also would follow me around like a shadow, and doesn't let me really talk to other co-workers or else he gets upset. He's the first ENTP I've met that I really do not like. I guess I never had this problem with my 2 ENTP friends because my first ENTP friend is a girl, and the second one is a guy but has a girlfriend.

About ENTP's being insensitive, I actually am aware of and tend to word things I say to be non offensive to the people I happen to be with at the time. However I thought about it and people are seriously babies if they get offended by something I say. Like mostly religion comes to mind getting offended by me saying things bluntly, but seriously they shouldn't be getting offended by something someone else says even if it goes against their beliefs. Its ridiculously whiny that they get offended by something I say, it doesn't change their beliefs. They get offended by something I say but yet have no problem just constantly blasting everyone around with what they think you should believe.

ENTPs come off as the creepiest/scariest because they have both low Se and low Fi. Se is all about making others comfortable and Fi is were a person sense of innocence and emotions come from so an ENTP lacking both end up looking like an alien, their lack of emotional expression in their eyes as well as them not living the moment just comes off as really disturbing. 😂 They are also extroverted and initiating so the creepiness is alot more out there when compared to an INTP hence why ENTPs come off more creepy then INTPs.

I love my dark side and how it helped me through years of abusive childhood (in the name of surviving it obviously) but I do not like hurting people for no reason and be like a creep to them. I understand the obligation thing - then you get there and end up not being able to allow yourself to join in, (perhaps because all the hard work you've put in so far would most likely just get loused up), and instead opt for finding someone willing, (or possibly not so willing), to discuss a topic while sitting near the side lines or tapping your mental fingers on the bar, wondering why you let this happen again and looking to the time you can safely exit, so that you can go and do the thing you would prefer to be doing. You bringing your book is an interesting idea I've heard you talk about a few times now - it's not something I had thought to do before, usually because part of the obligation was my engagement to some degree with the people I was out with. I decided to choose not to be obligated sometime ago. This was probably a mistake but it is one I have got used to. Perhaps I will try to change it. Although the thought of changing it makes me... I don't know... sad?... let's stick with, 'less happy'. Although perhaps this is a good thing - get outside your comfort zone and face your fears and all that.

Have you considered that Ti parent is also a reason you can predict futures well? I am an ENFP and I can predict futures, but I have noticed that I can’t do it as well as ENTPs. You have Ti parent so you are constantly making logical thoughts, such as “if, then” thoughts in your mind. That may help in predicting. I constantly make good/bad judgments in my mind. This doesn’t really help with predicting. I’d argue that xNTPs predict far better than xNFPs, however xNFPs can also predict pretty well.

@@d.o.9072 lmao I love you! I can relate! I've been there . For me that incredibly intense need to fix comes out when I see people suffering due to their own ignorance of the system (which I may have only just learnt about - but I'm still an expert and can fix all the same!) It's hard. I think NTPs have gifts. We see how to utilise systems and get out of bad situations. Sometimes people need to be 'shaken' into realising how bad of a situation they're in. Eg the comments that started this. When shaken then they can realise, oh shit. I need change. Or they can go deeper into the rabbit hole. Mostly they are perspective to the problem. But usually if it gets to a point where I've got to shake a person to seeing the scenario. It's like I'm tearing down their wall of security of 'everythings just fine. There's no problem here'. (When in truth. The walls are on fire.) And tearing down a person's walls (even if coming with upmost care love and respect). will come at the cost of the friendship - to some degree. Because noone wants to be seen so vulnerably. It's like they're suddenly naked. You can never see each other in the same way. It's like a shame the person feels. It's sad but I feel like it's the cost of that level of help. Ultimately it's for the better good, but it sucks all the same. It's the cost we pay. Definitely the right thing to do to (imo ) still

@@JambAndSee This is a very complex subject. And many would say " First put your own life together and then give advise or correct someone." And I can agree, but like Chase said on multiple occasions, NTPs ( and maybe NFPs to a degree) need people around them, we need to weave our lives with overs cose we are not too good , should I say, at build our own paths and walking straight on them ( now I think this is the case, but chase might correct me on the matter) , it's the curse of high Ne , so having lower Fe in our ego and having the need to conect and entangle ourselves with others, I think we have no choise but to want to help and hope that people will appreciate it and even less likely be more open to us, however we can also be realy socially inapt due to our somewhat direct nature of perception and I suppose to some degree single mindedness in certain matters that we think we feel the " vibrations of the universe" or perceive the possible structure of a system without being able to explain it ( and I personally am to some degree extremely verbally inapt, I find it hard to find the right word in a situation ading to my clumsy look) and this combination of factors can alienate us to an insane degree ( or atleas ot does it for me) or distance people from us and often both of those. So do you "help" someone by pointing out wrongs on their end, wrongs they dont notice and care about , at the risk of pushing people away eleven farther , or do we let them learn on their own mistakes or live in ignorance bliss neither knowing that they affect others or themselves? I wish I was blind to certain things, and I know how painful it is to know these simple truths, will I make this person's life betteror will I just add unnecessary stress other things they cant comprehend? In "The Strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mister Hyde" ( spoiler alert) Jekyll said in his closing letter " If I am chief of sinners then I am the Chief of sufferes also" the maddening duality of human nature, the benevolent and structured and the chaoit insane on the other side. The truth on the matter is ( I think) this contrast is seen the best in NTPs (most probably). There, you read your book for today.

Hey, A version of an INFJ here. I hear you about coming across scary, and not meaning to be. And I am sad to hear you got physically whomped by some out of control humans. They were driven by the ol’ death anxiety. Us we humans are mostly influenced by this dread, whether we know it or not. I can relate about being misunderstood because of my look. My own facial appearance is intense. This is common for a “Theatrical Romantic” body type - within the Kibbe system of body types. Imagine Selma Hayek staring steadily at you. That is my look too. She has a “Theatrical Romantic” body type - like Johnny Depp too. Imagine Johnny staring steadily at you. It is also common for INFJs like me to have an appearance of seeing right through you. --- I scared my poor easily freaked out ISFJ (& high cortisol A blood type) sister plenty - just by benignly looking at her. I didn’t mean to freak her out. She was and still is one of most easily freakable people I know. I used to just affectionately tease her about this but she never found it funny. So I became her enemy, by default. She turned on me years later & got her unfair revenge by stealing my promised share of a family inheritance. HA! :D ))) I can laugh because what she did was absurd, and was so like her. It was predictable. She justified her betrayal by saying I was the bad guy! HA! Gee whiz. When what she thinks of me is really all in her head. a key thing to remember: That ol’ death anxiety lashes out during family inheritance times. So watch for this. This lashing happens because a death in the family reminds us of our own impending death. If we’re suppressing this reminder, or it is triggered subconsciously, we can act like how my sister did. Chapter 3 in the 2011 book called, “Blood & Money: why families fight over inheritance and what to do about it” goes into this. The chapter 3 is called “Terror Management”. The author is Attorney P.Mark Accettura. I adore him for putting this book together. --- Okay. So. Mainly because of how I was and am misunderstood by my sister and others - because of my natural intense appearance - these easily freaked out people are missing out personally, and they prevent me from some professional opportunities that we’d all benefit from my doing. I went on strike years ago, and refuse to work with easily riled humans. They are missing out - for instance - because I was voted “best personality” in jr high, and “most sincere & understanding” in my large city high school of over 40 years ago. I am still pretty much the same personality then as now. I also naturally improve all work environments and procedures by coming up with new changes. How so? There is a 2020 book by Abel Abelson that has recently improved my life. It is called “How to Handle Neurotypicals: A field guide for the neurodivergent”. While I don’t have aspergers and autism, I enjoyed his book immensely and enjoy his KZfaq Channel. It was when I was an adult in my 50s I learned I am gifted. Knowing this about myself helped me understand why I was also misunderstood by most humans around me, and why they treat me like a threat. I was a family scapegoat by the way. I acted & looked differently. And I still do. So, I get it C.S. Joseph!

When it comes to the case of the ENTJ woman and her being jumped, I do agree with other commenters that you should've helped her. But me most likely being an affiliative, that's no surprise and won't do much :D One should do the right thing, even if there is nothing to gain *yadiyada*. Anyhow, I know an ENTP who has similar behaviour in situations where they give advice to someone and then get quite upset (even ragey) if people don't follow their advice (people just gotta do their own mistakes, I guess). And then the unwitting advice-rejecter gets quite butthurt too. People get alienated from one another, etc. Not a pretty picture. Though I think almost always, the problem is the delivery, not the ENTP or even the advice itself. People don't like the truth in general, esp if it is delivered with harshness and/or requires quick adjustment of self. I know ENTPs can quickly change, but it should not be expected from others. Somebody wise once said that we should judge other personality types by their standards, not ours :P I often need some time to get over my feelings, and my need to be right, so I don't know if I could be that quick. I guess the reaction on the ENTPs part is at least partially due to pride (Inferior Si, connected to Ne "my experience and my insight is not being valued"). I can undestand the feelings there, since I have experienced similar stuff as (a possible) INFJ. My well meaning, but badly delivered advice *cough*preaching*cough* has been rejected too, but honestly speaking, I do get too judgemental sometimes. So yeah, I've done my share of alienating, no saint here. I think in the end it boils down to priorities, whether we're receicing or giving advice. So do we want to make actual changes, or would we just rather be right. Personally, the reason I would make sure that the other person was safe (regardless of how they felt about me as a result, even if I lose them as a friend, or didnt even want them as a friend anymore), because if something serious happened to them, I would beat myself up about it and hold myself responsible, because I knew there was danger (with great power comes great responsibility or some shit like that). Chase, I respect you a lot, and I've had so many insights into myself and other people from watching your videos. Especially all the harsh truths that you say, have been very beneficial to me :) I consider you my mentor (not infallible tho, sorry :P)
@Rapsukki
@Rapsukki 4 жыл бұрын
And speaking of standards, moral, ethical, logical or otherwise (I couldn't shake this from my mind, so here I am again, sorry that this is so long).. I might be a goody-two-shoes, but my standard should not be the yardstick here anyway. I think the question really boils down to this: By your own standards, are (your) feelings worth more than (possible) tangible harm to another person? Now, I don't actually think the answer would or should always be no, it depends on the situation and should be evaluated on a case by case basis. I just find it unusual that a pragmatic person would think - especially in this particular situation - that the feels trumped the real threat of harm. Maybe I have missunderstood the pragmatic thing, or the situation, I very well might have. I just feel an urge to understand what the reasoning behind behaviour differing so largely from mine. Not that I except you to give me justifications, but one can hope :D Anyway, I'm glad nobody actually got hurt, will continue watching the video now.

More like teenagers who didn’t care about what others thought about, not necessarily rebellious, like “meh I’ll keep doing what I do”. They might be weirdos, popular, or emo, it differs for everyone I would guess. Personally, I didn’t care about looks and looking good, I’m not an emo either. I’m fairly normal to the eyes of people, I let some of my weirdness out sometimes, it’s easy when u look pretty !! Yes, pretty privilege does exist. I didn’t take attention on it until I started to put makeup on and damn people were soooooo much nicer, they let me go in front of toilet queue and etcetera. As an entp, you’ll only really fit in if you don’t look creepy, so if you look cute/good/handsome/pretty, I doubt you’ll get shadowed in your life, in fact, I think lots of people will like you due to your awesome personality. You’ll be seen as cool rather than creepy. Middle school = didn’t fit in But I did actually, I had a couple of friends, and they were probably all sensors except for one, she was probably an ENFP. That was in the 5th year though. Before that, I wouldn’t really fit in, people deemed me as weird, because children are rash when they can’t understand something. After that I’ve developed a sense to keep my weirdness from new people until I’m comfortable enough to show them. That lasted until the end of highschool, I started to realise that f*** u if you don’t like my weirdness. That’s how entps can really fit in without having to mask on, I don’t have to put a mask most of the time anymore. Though it is important sometimes haha. So entps, be yourself, and f*** them if they don’t like you cause it’s their lost. You don’t have to be a friend to everyone, it’s also worth noting that you’re extremely f***** charming, use that. Make them know that you’re a bizarre person. Also, don’t think that you have to entertain everyone every time, during group convos, quietness is fine, you don’t have to be the one making jokes, in fact, that will save you stress. I always had the urge to entertain my friends so I declined going out with them. But now it’s okay, I understand that going out with them is more to enjoy ourselves and not for me to entertain them, and granted, I’ve made more jokes when I don’t feel the need to entertain. Good luck to young ENTPs.

Every video is chock full of "Decider Freakouts" (see Objective Personality for a full explanation). Decider freakouts are when people with a dominant decision-making function freakout about people issues, like what this person did wrong or what that person did wrong or what I did, etc.. Those of us with dominant perceiving functions (INTJ here) have what is called "Observer Freakouts" where we freak out about things (e.g. traffic, things that break, stuff that gets in our way like a tangled cord, etc. etc. etc.). Everybody gets upset about both people and things but a "freakout" is when you go on a tirade, make videos about it, rant and rave, etc. Chase's videos are FULL of decider freakouts, never observer freakouts even though ENTPs are dominant observers.
