Works great when you want tho have a show more button on top, you can just fade out. No extra element required

this doesn't work for me, I needed to add -webkit-background-clip

Oh, I wasn't aware of this; thanks for the heads up. 🙏 I tested it in the latest Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, and it works without the vendor prefix. Which browser/version are you testing on?

@@CSSWeekly I switching back to vanilla Google Chrome. I was using a fork of chrome called Thorium

Oh, I see. I haven't heard about Thorium before. Is it far behind the current version of Chrome?

Thanks for the info! This all makes sense, then, as according to Caniuse, the prefix is required until 120.
