On my way north to Lake George, NY for a few days of “R&R”, I stopped to catch some River Line action in the town of Milton, NY. The north end of the siding has a concrete pier that juts out into the Hudson, giving a great view of southbound trains sweeping around the curve.
An intermodal train had outlawed in the siding overnight, and a locomotive and crew was brought down from Selkirk to couple on to the train so it could continue north. This and other intermodal action is what you’ll see in this episode.
