The CT Coronary Angiogram is a simple procedure without any pain and anxiety . Its a screening process and give an total overview of the condition of your heart. Cardiac pts .who do not like to under go surgical procedures C.T. Angio is safe nd convenient . It if not successful as per surgeon , I would like to say there is complication likely to appear after regular surgical operation . Patient is neither at loss nor at gain , returnes home as he had gone , except some monetary loss. Thanks all C .T. Centers for their servises rendered by them to the suffering poor/middle class pts.

CT Angiogram different from Coronary Angiogram........CT is non invasive procedure where as Coronary Angiogram is invasive process......90% doctos refer Conventional Coronary Angiogram because % of blockage accurate

धन्यवाद डाक्टर गोपी कृष्ण साहब ! आपने बहुत बढ़िया समझाया है ! आशा है यह पद्धत सभी जगह अपनाई जाय ! प्रायः पेशंट एक गिनीपिग की तरह उपयोग किये जाते है और उसे मुँह खोलने नहीं दिया जाता. ऐसे व्हीडीयो एक SOP की तरह रोगी को पहले दिखाये जाय ता कि वह जान सके कि सही क्रिया से परीक्षा हो रही है जिसके पैसे वह अपने, इंसुरंस वा सरकारी ख़र्च से अस्पताल को दे रहां है !

why we cannot use test injection or time bolus to check the reaction to contrast medium, instead of person standing inside to check the swelling when scan is going to auto trigger once contrast has shown sufficient effect?

One major problem of this test is to control heart rate. A lot of people like me have anxiety and it is impossible to have the heartrate stay below 80 When I had this test my heart rate was around hundred...

Very educative for a lay person. I have a small question. What should be the frequency of undergoing this test for a normal person? Are there any side effects for undergoing this test ? Once this test is declared o.k by the doctor, should one again go for this test after a certain time lag ? Or is it once in a lifetime?

Coronery artery By pass grafting (CABG)or Insertion of stent which one is necessary for better managing blockade inside artery. In which condition by pass is the only option left with. Which one is safer and long lasting , bye pass or stent insertion.

Before they inject the dye, you need to get a test done called "ESR" which basically tells you if you're kidneys are working fine. Only after that will they proceed with the injection and scanning. If your ESR is Ok, then the injected dye or contrast will get flushed out of the body within 24-36 hours naturally. All you need to do is drink lots of fluids and avoid eating junk foods.

What if a person has Steel implants in his body after an accident, can he take this test? what if he has a previous history of severe chills from Contrast during an earlier CT Scan, can he take the test?

Implantation never affects the CT imaging, But with due risk of contrast allergies can perform the procedure. (Must calculate risk vs benefit ratio by requesting physician)

I got CT Angiography done and doctor has told me that 2 Arteries are absolutely fine but further invasive testing is required as the flow in 3rd Artery is less. On further asking whether there was blockage in 3rd Artery, the attending doctor indigent that no it Isn't blocked but less flow calls for further probe through Cathedral Angiography. I am frankly not been able to understand that if 3rd Artery Isn't blocked then why blood flow is less and why further invasive surgery/Angiography is required. I am confused totally confused. Please advise what should be the need CT step. Regards
