They are worth every penny. They are extremely robust and well built. I love it so far.

They feel and work differently. I feel the CTK is better suited to shooting from hard surfaces. The Accu-Shot seems to work a bit better in the field.

I was desperately hoping this would be the solution I was looking for, but alas, not quite. Excellent review though. Very comprehensive and you've turned me on to a good song. *goes back to using his sand bags*

Nice review. I have an accu-shot mono pod that mounts the same way. It folds so it doesn't take up as much space as this one. The accu-shot is not spring loaded and it did feel a little flimsy when I first used it, but once I figured it out it's solid as rock. There is one on my 700 and on my 300 blackout ar.

Hey John thanks for the review. A big improvement on the old CTK monopod, the one i had was a piece of *&^%. It would drop and wreck your shot but more to the point unsafe sending shots over backstops!!!!!! It had a friction type adjustment which came loose and needed constant adjustment and maintenance!!! In the end i chucked it in the toolbox of bad ideas. I did however reinstall it and am using it as a hand grip on my savage trr rimfire. Their other type monopod was a better idea!

I wish somebody made a mono pod that is for a sling swivel on a stock with a flat base. I have an accushot that had to to be ground on so I could get it to stand vertically on a manners t4a. When I fold it up it still hangs down..

Another great video John. The monopod looks more ergonomic installed "backwards". Quick question- where can I get your small rear sandbag?- I couldn't find the video where you gave the name. Keep up the good work.
