You catch some flack for the amount of tearing down that you do, but that is not all that you do. Very good episode, with all the prep work, paint, and put back together.

That disassembly, clean up, paint, reassembly with new joints, bearings etc. was awesome.

After a year of me watching ct work on old cars and trucks. I can say he has come along way. He learned how to paint and he found out sand blasting is not cost effective. The builds are done right that is why I have been watching his videos.

This is the first time I have seen rotors like this for these cars. They are normally solid. Very interesting. I bet getting those torsion leaves back in was a pain in the neck. I believe you can retrofit Zerk fittings on the back of the ball joints so you can grease them further on. Since you’re going full out I suggest you make sure you check the oil level on the steering box too. This project is finally coming out fantastically! A video of you driving this car back to Orlando after you’re finished with the work would be epic.

Looking good. I can't wait to see this project completed, I think you are going to want to keep it once done. I wish I had the space for a Karmann Ghia but the drive is full as I have a beetle which I am just trying to get back on the road, not doing a full restoration as can't afford it just doing what is required like brakes etc it has been sitting on the drive since around 2001. Oh and your beam is nearly complete do not forget the sway bar.

You forgot the locking tab for the steering damper.

CT, I belive there are roller bearings in the beam for the torsion arms. Did you replace them with similar once, or perhaps with urethan bearings?
