I went backwards to hit an invisible checkpoint to change mask zones for those wondering, if I didn't I would've been masked back to the ramp.

I would assume so because that boost pad puts you at a specific speed when going off it, mask or not. This was the first time I got the glitch to work after hours of fails and I couldn't be arsed retrying it without a mask.
