Hardest one yet. I remember feeling so good when I first learned to do the U-turns here, and afterwards I would always dominate it online. Now, that's no longer enough. You have to go on the grass as well and that means less time for building up reserves. If you don't get in enough boosts and hit as many turbo pads as possible, you will lose your fire during the U-turns. You're actually allowed to lose it at the end, as he does too, but if you fail to gain it back immediately, it's over. Again, my best tip will be to copy what he does, then do it better. I was able to beat him by nearly two seconds, but I was pretty far behind him for half the race, so my goal here for Retro Stadium will be sub-1:30.

God, they look so nightmarish when they're THAT close to you xD It's a matter of constant patience and confidence during the race :P

The Developer Times basically take everything you learned from the previous ones(N. Tropy = Control, Oxide = Speed, Velo = Reserves and U-turning) and apply it with an added bonus in tight turning.

You don't need to U-turn to beat Velo

@@fshy5515 A U-turn is the more ideal option than an air brake, especially on Hot Air Skyway. You have to use the last shortcut successfully at least two times otherwise, he will overtake you.

@@fshy5515 Well, even with the Velo times, knowledge and application of u-turning is a must. It really helps if you don't take the shortcut a third time like I did(as I haven't mastered that one).

You don't need to U-Turn to beat Velo. I managed to beat 8 Developer Times and I still can't U-Turn for shit.

Do you think they should make a gem or crystal a playable character with different colors to unlock?

If they made the box they'll make the crystals and the gems and the relics, after Madame Amberly, Evil Crash and the Evil Twins of course, as those are my most requested Characters to solidify this game.
