unfortunately many of the old Canadian political documentaries from the 2000s have been poorly preserved. Some like the “Secret Mulroney Tapes” don’t even exist anymore and cannot be found, which is unfortunate

well, sure, he got some things done but Kim Campbell might have something candid to say about his “moral leadership” and what constitutes treachery, leaving her holding the proverbial bag the way he did...he was an opportunist, a conceited one, who could do no wrong, nor could he accept responsibility for his actions when they went south. This is glaringly apparent in his demeanour here whilst sitting down and chatting with Lloyd. Any shortcomings spewing from his decisions were someone else’s fault. As we all know, The Conservative party never was the same after he was done with it...the low-rent lunatic right now holds those reigns.

as a gleeful Mulroney headed out of Schefferville with a captivated press corps in tow, Iron Ore was also laying off almost a thousand workers in Labrador City, Newfoundland - without paying them any severance. Far from the cameras, many of these workers faced personal bankruptcy, unable to keep up mortgage payments on their suddenly worthless houses or to pay the $10,000 the company was demanding to move their house trailers out on the company-owned railroad.

I haven't been this sad and upset since Ed Broadbent died. When I heard Mulroney passed away, I called my psychiatrist and took a bereavement day off to mourn. I don't think the country can take anymore grief.

Well with his environmental concerns about acid rain and human rights such as Nelson Mandela and Africa he almost sounds Liberal he was better than Trudeau his predecessor though no doubt.
