I'm not certain if public funds should be contributed to private ventures such as stadiums either but the stadium is a different group of investors that were solicited with private investments being the primary component so it's not actually fungible with the infrastructure development and maintenance budget but keep on with the ignorant bar stool talk and complaints, it's what incompetent governments are built upon. Note that contributing to solicitations from stadium owners are not only in hopes of generating more tax revenue from increased business but to placate the same barstool patrons that make the complaints you're making...

True but thanks also needs to be given to everyone conserving on water so that the Glenmore system can still refill the district reservoirs. However, as it is a capacity issue, wouldn't a small supplementary feeder from the Bearspaw system make up the difference, shouldn't this have been planned and built before the main feeder line needs to be replaced within 25 years as it's in year 50 of it's expected 75 year lifespan. Maybe closing off a few streets to lay down a temporary surface feeder as the military is equipped to do on the battlefield on short notice could help if the public is unwilling to conserve enough though this would push some of the problem to traffic flow. Are such exceptional efforts to address the problem even worthwhile to pursue as the repair will likely be complete in a few days anyways and already mitigating efforts have already removed the Bowness boil water restriction so primary health concerns are being addressed. Maybe, we should just all calm down and just have a can of beer instead of a glass of water. There's over 37,000 water main breaks active in the city at this time. This is the only one that has required city wide conservation. One really serious break out of 37,000 isn't bad...
