There is no such a thing as a blockade to Cuba, is an economic embargo, to be a blockade will require the island to be surrounded by sea and air, and nothing will be allowed to coming and go out of Cuba which is not the case.

Perhaps if Cuba was willing to turn over all patents to some American pharmaceutical company and sign away all financial return, then maybe Americans could get this treatment. Cuba is also suppose to have a miracle type cure for lung cancer, but I can't verify that. Maybe Break Through News could look into that.

Sadly yes. It all comes down to greed, the original sin of humanity. In this particular case, I think not. This treatment isn't a cure for diabetes, but rather it drastically reduces amputationa (which the pharm corps dont deal with) and extenda patients life who still has diabetes and will therefore need to buy their meds for a longer period of time. This treatment would actually be more profitable for pharma corps for that reason. The reason to maintain the blockade is purely political. They can not afford for the world to see thar a Socialist country can succeed, so they try to blockade it into oblivion.
