Cuban Sees Snow for First Time and its an emotional snow reaction. Snow reactions are usually for kids, but after living on a socialist Caribbean island for 36 years, this moment means so much to us.
We went up to Big Bear Lake, CA to film one of the last snow storms. We are so incredibly grateful for all of you that have watched our journey.

Through Yoel's eyes us Americans really see what we take for granted every day. Yoel, your dreams are coming true to experience everything in America. There will be many more experiences to come in the future. Please keep on smiling and have fun while you are at it. More adventures and smiles to come.

But my sister & I are planning to go to Destin in mid-September. Seeing white sand with my own eyes has been on my bucket list for most of my life. I might be as excited seeing it in person as Yoel was to see snow!!

He had sold the property and I finally allowed some friends that had begged to let them go fishing in the river. They brought friends too and spent the night camped out under those pecans along the river fishing. A party had loaned me a contraption and said it was for dialing fish. We tried it but no one was fast enough. I got out of the water and tried it and yikes. I was wet. What a shock. I put that up. They brought a couple from Australia. I live in Louisiana and his reaction is literally mine every single time I see snow in my life, I cried several times. Earlier this year I traveled up north for the first time in my life to Connecticut and I witnessed my first ever 1 foot of snow. I couldn't stay out of it either, I was always playing with it, and the locals looked at me like I was crazy, I was driving with the windows down with snow falling in my truck. I couldn't stop smiling. I'm definitely moving somewhere where it snows a bunch every year, so the rest of my family can experience it, because I am the only one who has.

As always, love for my kids. Again I want to congratulate Yoel for his improvement in English. I particularly appreciated the very American "This is really fucking cool, man." So proud.. OH!! And who, who has never seen snow, goes down a ski slope multiple times without falling?..........Right? Love you two.

As someone who just found your channel recently, and lives in New England (Northeast united states), this really warmed my heart. We have beautiful mountains and forests that are blanketed with snow every year, and it holds a special place in my heart growing up with snow and winter activities. Glad you checked off another dream Yoel y Mari

i was about 13 when i first saw snow , (from florida) and my dad was past 40 the first time he saw snow. i used to think it was like a fairy tale like not real like Santa clause. i cant imagine how you must feel. i was out it in it so long i couldnt even turn the door knob, and it was like 3 am, and i remember some guy being like in the apt complex "what is this the first time seeing snow" and i just said yes laughed alot and threw crudely made snowballs at my dad lul.hope you love it i hated it after the third time tbh XD.

Amazing! So cool to see it through both your eyes. I can't even begin to describe how many times I shoveled snow from a huge, long sidewalk and triple wide driveway. As a Canadian, I always think it's weird to see newcomers enjoying the snow....You can always tell when a person is still new because the novelty of frozen water falling out of the sky is still apparent. It's something that a person learns to hate pretty quickly.

Was just about to comment that I live in Minnesota and I couldn't be happier to finally be getting some warm weather to get the F rid of this godforsaken snow and ice. Though I get his point. Even I still find some magic in that first snowfall of the year. But now it's mid March and I'm over it. Way, way over it.

I am from Minnesota too and know that clearing driveways, scraping windows, and the bitter face freezing cold can be a drag, but there are winter activities that people take joy in. In Minnesota there is the Winter Carnival in the city of St Paul where in past decades they built an absolutely giant Ice Castle each year out of blocks of ice for the Carnival and there is Ice carving contests and all kind of refreshments and social activities. Many people like to sled, ski, play hockey, and Ice fish in winter weather.

Such a wonderful thing and so happy to see the experience through Yoel's eyes. It reminds me of a quote I have on a bookmarked right now actually (yes I still prefer to read books you can hold in your hands, lol), and it says, "The invariable mark of wisdom is to see the miraculous in the common." It is by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Seeing Yoel's experience and the wonder, almost like a child (not meant disrespectfully), but just the awe of everything he experiences from the grocery stores, the Home Depot, the Christmas Lights, to just the snow, etc... I think we, here in the U.S. often get used to these things and almost numb, when there are people at this moment literally dying to have what we have. Yoel, at least helps me, personally, not take all these things for granted and it makes me happy he/they bith are getting to experience these things together. Glad you made it to America. We are lucky to have you both! ❤️

When I was a boy in Durban, South Africa, we had 'cold' weather, which in Britain would be a lovely warm spring day. Then, we came to settle in Britain when I was fourteen. I'd never seen snow other than in films, and, my god, it was just the most breathtaking thing, so flowing from the skies, heaping up to your knees, and making everything incredibly quiet. Mind you, we arrived in time for one of the coldest winters ever recorded in 1962, and were simply unable to keep warm. My poor dad was utterly shocked when the first gas bill came. Nowadays, here in the middle of England, snow is a rare occurrence, but still a thrill when it does happen. Robert, UK.

I saw snow for the first time when I was 13. Raised in the south. Saw it with my grandmother who in her 60s had never seen anything but a beach in her life. Moved from Grenada to states. I still remember to this day the excitement of it. I remember her face and her crying from being so happy. To experience that with her is something I will never take for granted. Seeing snow every winter now still blows my mind. I will never get used to snow.
