Really cool stuff.. great guide... 👍👍🤘. Would be grateful if you can help me with my license activation issue. I have been using cubase 9. I recently received an email for free upgrade to cubase 10.5 but I'm not able activate the using existing elicenser. It shows my old license when I'm trying to activate. Would you have an idea on how to avail this free upgrade and activate.. i had contacted Steinberg directed me to Yamaha no help..

@Mendelian
@Mendelian 4 жыл бұрын
Edmond Lord After using a mouse since birth i can honestly say switching to a pen tablet improved my workflow hugely. It’s a Wacom Intuos S, it takes a couple of weeks to get used to but it’s way better for my wrist and assigning the middle button to one of the pen buttons gave my full navigation freedom in Cubase. Highly recommended.

Nice vid, good chops, question, if you were just going to play the same phrase why wouldn't you just cut, copy and paste the original phrase on to another track?
@Mendelian
@Mendelian 4 жыл бұрын
vlove888 If you’re talking about the double tracking harmonies it’s because copy pasting makes it only louder. If you do two actual performances they slightly differ, resulting into that human feeling widening effect.
@vlove888
@vlove888 4 жыл бұрын
@@Mendelian why not just turn ithe volume down in the mix then?
@Mendelian
@Mendelian 4 жыл бұрын
vlove888 I’ll explain in a different way: If i record on the L channel and then copy it to the R channel it would just sound center panned (L and R are playing the exact same thing). So you do not get that wider sound. but if you record it 2 times (instead of copying) you do get that wider sound because L and R are not exactly the some.
@vlove888
@vlove888 4 жыл бұрын
@@Mendelian ok but I use a different method, when I want to harmonize with the same phrase I just cut, copy, past then lower or raise the volume and put a little delay on one of the tracks in the mix to give it that "human" fell, it works for me maybe it's different with Cubase (used about 5yrs ago)it's seems to me that one of the main reason to work in a DAW but thanks for the feed back, keep those "chops" up!
@Mendelian
@Mendelian 4 жыл бұрын
Using a little delay can work as well! But sound wise i prefer dual takes.
