FYI, If you buy a Steinberg or Yamaha product and hook it up to your iPad it unlocks Cubasis 3 LE features and offers the full version of Cubasis 3 at a discount price, also works for Cubasis 2. Great channel, always fun to watch you.

This applies to ik multimedia Irig products also. Just plug it in if its not bluetooth and it will unlock.

@@PeteJohnsMusic Agreed. And I don't mind paying for what I want. Ableton Live, Cubasis, MPCs, synths, a stage piano, and a workstation keyboard.

Caught this on the replay. As for music styles, I like the idea of creating a theme song that could be used for a TV show or movie. Another idea, but one that might be more of a challenge, is to try to recreate in Cubasis as closely as possible the sound of a classic recording or at least a part of one (main riff, for ex.)

My main recording app is Cubasis 3. I use GarageBand with Cubasis 3...... I do most of my recording on Cubase 11 Pro..... all great tools to get your song ideas down.

Really like Cubasis 3 but have to watch the DSI with 3rd party instruments. The trick seems to be the freeze track function. Then the sky’s the limit.

What I do is match the tempo in GarageBand to the tempo in Cubasis 3...... I would then record a four to eight bar musical passage in GarageBand..... mix it down to a wave file and save it in my Cubasis 3 project file..... then I will open Cubasis 3 up and import that GarageBand file I mixed down..... I love a lot of what GarageBand as in their instruments..... I will sometimes mix down what I have in Cubasis 3 and import it into GarageBand so I can work on it there......

Hi Pete I bought a korg kronos I use GarageBand for music production I use GarageBand via iPad hooked up to my midi keyboard I have a scarlet 2i2 audio interface My question is: I want to record korg Kronos sounds for my future GarageBand projects (as one of the tracks) So how do I record the korg Kronos sounds to GarageBand?

I just got Cubasis for 50% off at 25$ had to get it for cyber week. I’m still figuring it out but I still prefer GarageBand iOS. But cool thing I noticed on Cubasis is you can use “audio kit synth one” as audiounitextension and use the app presets like as an instrument and pencil in your notes, where in GarageBand you can only play it live through the synth one app. By the way have you used “Audio Kit Synth One” it’s 100% free app and an editors choice. And it’s better than a lot of apps you have to pay for

Hi Pete. I haven’t been able to follow this series live due to work commitments and the time difference between Australia and the UK but I’ve started watching through and catching up. I got a free copy of Cubasis with my Steinburg audio interface but haven’t got a scooby how to use it so this will be useful👍 Al.

I also forgot to mention too that I saw someone using FL Studio mobile on KZfaq and looks like that might I rather prefer than Cubasis, but I figured since it was expensive it would be better. Even trying n-track studio demo app is I prefer than Cubasis. So I’ll probably try FL studio mobile n it’s like 15$

But one thing I’m certain GarageBand iOS is King. It’s free No crashes, doesn’t freeze up, better instruments that are tuned, and more easier to work with and better interface among other things compared to any other daw app

auria is the worst DAW i have been able to try.. i regret to buy it.. it’s bugged its not optimized the fonctions on the paper sounds good but in the real life it’s not usable .. i uninstall it from my ipad pro …

I liked Marc’s suggestion of 80’s rock, but that’s probably my favourite genre, so I would be excited to see that. Whatever u pick tho, I will be very interested to watch it come together. As I watched this video on the replay, I got scared right away watching u have a few little struggles with C3. I feel like even tho I will very likely stick with GB, I want to at least have some experience with another daw. Hope it all goes well and you write a big hit! 😊 I liked the idea of some live percussion. I have had this in mind for a project as well.

I say it should be a folksy song but with some kind of twist to it, like it’s mostly folksy sounding but you also have an instrument in the background that would never be in a folksy song Also the lyrics should be about telling someone to go home 😂
