I’ve tried it and it does work the first 2 or 3 times, but then the middles squares keep getting shorter and you’ll be able to see it getting shorter. In reality the most you could do this is only about 11-14 times ( if you have the same 4 x 6 chocolate bar.)

You can see that the pieces along the cuts are not quite the same height when put together, the gap he used rather than "butting" up the cut ends helps disguise the "error".

But there is still a problem,you see;at the very end if we assure that the edges of the diagonal gap were parallel so we can get 4 pieces because the left piece was fully cut off but you have cut 3 pieces only so the 4th piece is missing

If anyone was wondering, I tested this out with a piece of paper: If you continue to keep cutting the bar and use this trick, the bar is actually not multiplying infinitely. The bar you make will get smaller

Fun fact : The bar gets shorter every time you do it , it's not magic it makes one extra piece but it takes that from the middle of the chocolate using some clever shape trick , the videos of this on KZfaq of animations cleverly add the middle back withought people noticing , don't belive me do it yourself 2 or 3 times with the same bar and you will clearly see it got much shorter .

the reason it does that is because the first cut you made is made so it's 1/4 cells shorter each cell in length. when you reshuffled it, the whole bar became 1/4 cells shorter, and since the right side moved 4 cells, one cell of chocolate was removed. so no, it isn't infinite. you just redistributed the chocolate in a way where one of it's cells is free and it doesn't look noticably different. if you're unsure, perform the trick, take the 75 gram chocolate bar and the extra piece and weigh it. if it worked, it would have a bit more mass. in any case, you can still do this as a cool magic trick to show to friends

Guys do not get bamboozled! Although the amount of chocolate pieces are the same, the quantity decreases. You can check it out for yourself. Measure the length of the chocolate before and after the process. I don't mean to hate it because it does look like free chocolate.

4:40 look at the chocolate it's not of the same dimensions as before. The slant line projection cut rises from left to right, But when you slide the above pieces towards left you actually shorten the height of pieces having cuts in them. They are not as tall as other pieces above or below the cut. Whatsover, its a good trick.
