Awesome work, Chaepau! Thus seems massive wood and your side walls are how thick? Overall weight of your speakers? How is your sound expression? Haave heard several Nenuphars and also sound good, voice outstanding, but lacking overall soundstage and very, very picky how you set them up in your room. Thanks a lot for sharing!

The walls was 32mm thickness. I didn’t weigh the speakers. The sound didn’t beat my another horn speakers so I sold them.

For now I’m like more the lii platinum but for some rock or dance is the sb acoustic. If you don’t wanna pay too much the best for price is mark audio.

HI, I notice that when you build your cabinets (beautiful BTW) you're using what looks to be 2" of solid wood? Then no sound treatment in the cabinet. How does it sound? Does the 45 degree joints w biscuits help in terms of resonance versus typical butt joints? Thx
@mari2800
@mari2800 4 ай бұрын
Hi the thickness is 43mm if you cut in angel 45 degree you get like surface of 60mm so is stronger joint. About the sound I’m impressed how much of base the small drive produce. The treatment I will put later I need try many different options.

And you could save yourself a lot of time and money by using good quality ply wood. It is actually superior in audio terms. You then simply veneer to your taste.

What on earth IS this thing ? It looks like a quarter wave horn but it's not ... the mouth of the horn is severely reduced making it behave like a simple ported enclosure with only the wood thickness for the port length ...

Hello It should be a bass reflex port like the schema on Cube audio website. And the bottom you can take out too bee like transmission speakers.

@mari2800
@mari2800 Жыл бұрын
@@janinapalmer8368 I would not call horn. It’s like folded Voight pipe. They measure with the bass reflex very low under 30 hz ,if I take the bottom out the base is starting at 50 Hz but is stronger. If you are interested I can sand you the files of the measures.
@Amansshed

transmission lines and ported have high group delay in low frequencies and i can always here it with music.. i've recently added drivers and more amps and the result is cleaner bass and much more accurate.. I'm beginning to think ports and lines are a bit of a gimmick.. more power and more surface diameter beats any fancy design. especially if you are paying £££££ for that fancy design
