Hi Gina!! Fabulous job on teaching us “weaving newbies” a more advanced craw stitch!! For me......you are the best at teaching and explaining bead weaving ( That I have personally watched on KZfaq). Not that other instructors on KZfaq are bad......just not the right kind of bead weaving teacher for me. You take your time explaining the technique, as well as, demonstrating the technique several times nice and slow!! Plus, Using the two different color beads was especially helpful and the 3 2 2 1 bead layout was sooooo helpful!! I’m confident that as I continue to watch your bead weaving tutorials, I will be using the mass collection of seed beads I’ve accumulated over the past 2 years for some awesome projects!!!! Lol 😂 I really appreciate the time you took to make this tutorial and the encouragement you’ve given us to continue to try this stitch and not give up when mistakes happen!! You’re the BEST!!! Thank you!! ❤️📿🌼

Awww, thanks so much Melanie!! You're right - there are a lot of great teachers out there, but sometimes information happens to click better at the right moment, or someone may have a different way of explaining something. I'm so glad I can continue to help you get your feet wet in the world of beadweaving!! :)

Gina, you do a great job explaining and demonstrating CRAW stitch. When I'm trying to learn something, I tend to watch everything and everybody who might be trying to help us learn that "thing", and you are one of the best. I also think this stitch makes more sense while you're working on it--that way, you can really see the "rooms" (ceiling, wall, floor, wall) being built. Thanks, Gina, for sharing your beading experience and encouragement with us.

Here's a question I don't think I've ever seen addressed ... How do I care for my beaded jewelry? For gold, silver, & gemstone items there are cleaning solutions & cleaning cloths to keep them clean & sparkling. How do I clean my beadwork? Is it ok if it gets wet? Not soaking wet, I'm sure, but like a bracelet could get residually wet from washing my hands.

Hey Holly! Great question - I don't have a specific video on it at this point (just one about tarnish), but Potomac Beads has one called: "Better Beader Episode 27: How to Care for and Maintain Your Jewelry." It goes into some tips. As for beadwork, it's okay for it to get a little damp on rare occasions, especially if you use fireline, since it is meant for fishing use anyway. As soon as you notice it is wet, though, use a plain, dry cloth to wipe away the moisture as best you can. Some finishes will wear away in time, the more they are exposed to moisture, and rubbing - depends on the bead and coatings. Also, of course, it's best to prevent these situations if at all possible by storing your jewelry in an dry airtight place after use, wiping down after wear to remove sweat/perfume/makeup, etc. A great topic for another video in the future! Thanks for watching!
