how to get through everything without knowing anything about the base: 1. walk through the giant hole in the cacti, pretty obvious 2. same with the wither roses 3. place blocks on the lava 4. jump over the pressure plates, it's okay if you hit a wrong one by accident, if you hold space you will jump before you fall in 5. trapped chests have red around the latch and normal chests don't, so stand on the trapped chest and open it then place blocks to get out 6. for the maze, just break the door, if you get lost, just break the walls 7. place blocks on the lava in the correct room 8. break the very obvious door and yoink the diamond swords 9. steal stuff!
