The reason he is consistent is that he chokes up on the bat with two strikes and gets on base, either by walks after many fouls, or base hits. Pitchers know this, and try to get early strikes on him. He leaps on them early. Wish the rest of the jays would follow this idea.

Also Vlad is not just having a bad year, he’s having a really weird year. That sinking feeling when you begin to wonder if your generational talent might really just be more of a very good player. Too early to call it, but he’s having his second straight Melba Toast season, ie it’ll keep you alive but you’re not gonna feel satisfied.

Ryu has been trying to work on all cylinder after a long cessation of his career in MLB due to elbow's injury. Wishing him stay healthy and help Jays to achieve what they really yearn for this season. And that's the very filthy change-up which he struck Cubbies three times in this game. 💙

TOR stops a 4 game losing streak. They are still hanging tough on that last WC spot. It's going to be a battle for it. The AL East will possibly have 3 teams make it to the playoffs. This division is unreal. Congrats on the win TOR 👍.

@@PACNYYI'm a huge Yankee fan but we're not making the playoffs this year which is ok. We make it almost every year. Yesterday's lost was brutal. They are 60-58 with 44 games left and literally 2 starting pitchers. They would have 2 go 30 -14 2 gwt in. It's just not happening this year. I would play Peraza the rest of the year and some other young guys like they did in I think 2015 or 16 when Judge started playing. 2 many injuries. I would sit Judge 4 the rest of the year.

Blue jays have had an abysmal offence this year with multiple guys playing below their career average and yet they still are in a playoff spot. If any of them decide to pick it up, paired with one of the best rotations and bullpens in baseball, they most definitely will make the playoffs

Vladdy needs to start elevating the ball and getting homers. Hitting the ball 115 mph doesn’t mean much if everything is a ground ball. He also has to stop chasing the slider low and away. If he can do those things, the jays will make the postseason

While i agree, they needed to find a spare short stop. You had Jimenez in the minors who is tearing it up. You didn't need to trade for DeJong. The guy glove is unparallel but im the playoffs this guy doesnt leave the bench till the 9th inning. Or the 8th if the Jays are crushing it

Credit the Jays for a great day at the plate and a solid Ryu. Also credit David Ross, yet again, for leaving a starting pitcher in WAY longer than he should have(cost at least 3-4 runs when it was still a game)...while putting an awful Wisdom and Madrigal out there(both useless at the plate and field with major Errors...aside from a HR for every 9 Ks from Wisdom). Cubs could have 70+wins without a manager this year.
