When I was in Germany I ate a lot of cucumber salad, when i got home i made it my mission to recreate what I ate!!!!! ....cucumbers,sourcream, dill, salt, chopped onion, a little sugar, white vinegar and a dash of cream. Perfection!

I always let the sliced cucumber sit in the fridge to let some of the water out. It helps to add some of the salt to them to expedite the process. Some of the juice can be used in the dressing but is not necessary.

For me it's not the seeds it's the moisture from the seeds. I peal cut in half and with a spoon scoop out all seeds. It makes for a cucumber salad that is less watery and more chunks. Just my preference.

U can put some scallions in it and tomatoes, perfect. Sometimes i do just that and cook some pasta and mix it in. Yaaaam

I love creamy salads. cucumbers.. yummy so fresh and delish with mayo. this time I gonna try with sour cream. bad thing is there is no dill in my country. have you ever heard of ginger torch flower? Try it with your lovely cucumber salad. the aroma is mesmerizing

+See En Ewe Possibly :( I'm guessing your weather is hot and humid? I don't know what dill likes. If it isn't the climate, sometimes there are import restrictions to avoid bringing plant diseases to different countries.

Try that with some crushed walnuts next time. It gives the whole cucumber sour cream and dill some warmth

here, in georgia, we add something very similar to greek yogurt instead of sour cream, it's called matsoni, also some boiled rice. very fresh and delicious.
