So the milk has calcium . My sister gives her plants Tums. I also use a crush aspirin which makes the plants go in fighting mode against diseases. About a teaspoon of Epsom salt . And fertilizer in the hole mixing with some dirt and plant your tomato plant in the hole halfway up the plant . This helps it with moisture and the salt actually helps the tomato taste less acidy . I never try this with cucumbers but I will try a crush Tum .

A pack of Instant yeast in a quart of really warm water along with and teaspoon of sugar let sit until bubbly (sometimes about 5 mins). Don’t use hot water because it can kill the yeast. Just really warm water. If you you have a thermometer it’s about 175 degrees. After bubbly stir up. Then pour that quart over into a 5 gallon bucket of water. Typically I’d have the 5 gallon bucket of water filled and sitting outside in the sun a day or two so it doesn’t shock the roots like cold water would. Anywho, mix that quart into the bucket of water and water your cucumber plants. You can also use it for tomatoes too.

For Euro viewers: 2 Pints to 10 Quarts = 1 part milk to 5 parts water.

It's a ratio of 1:10, not 1:5 as I also initially thought. 10 Qts=20 pints. So you would use 1 pint milk (1/2 Qt) per 10 pints water, or 500 ml or 1/2 Liter per 5 liters H2O, a 1:10 ratio.

I put water in my milk jugs after I've drank all the milk, shake it up and water my pepper plants from time to time. In the winter I've dumped curtled milk on top of the snow in the containers that the peppers will go in in the spring and also dump it on my compost piles and other garden areas. But I only buy raw milk. I get tons of nice big peppers each year. Did know to use this on cucumbers.

Lower leaves that are spent or dying off or any touching the ground if growing on a trellis. This prevents disease and disease attracts pests. Try to reduce getting the leaves wet while wateting as mich as possible

@@Jennifer-wz9lb Unfortunately you can get plants that make nothing or all female flowers or all male flowers. That's why you have to have a certain number of plants, not just one or two. You can try pruning your cucumber plants back to six nodes and see what happens. That will make new side shoots from the nodes and hopefully flowers

Doesn’t matter. The ratio is still 1:10. So it could be 1 Tbsp milk in 10 Tbsp water…..or 1 hairspray can lid milk in 10 hairspray can lids water. So, if you really need that much, 1 liter milk in 10 liters water. Leftover solution won’t be good until next feeding though, so only make as much as you need.
