CuddeLink Installing Five Camera System

This video will walk you through how to set up a CuddeLink network of 5 cameras. This network will consist of 1 HOME camera and 4 Remote cameras.

I can't believe you set up all of these cameras in an instructional video within some unknown proximity to the home camera or to each other without even mentioning the maximum range capability or typical maximum effective distance between cameras. Is it 10 feet? 2 miles?

Do these connect to each other in a daisy chain fashion to extend range from the home camera? Or do all the cameras have to have a signal with just the home camera and not each other?

As long as one camera can talk to another one the images will get back to the Home camera. Not all cameras must be within one link of the Home camera.

Do certain cameras need to be set as repeaters if they are part of the daisy chain or will they all connect if they are set as remote?

The cameras will connect to each other as Remotes. If you set the camera up as a Repeater it will only relay the images it does not take images of it's own.

Sweet cameras! What's the estimated range on these things in a wooded area? Or battery life with or without the battery booster? Is there a factory solar panel made for the camera you can hook up to them?

In a dense forest we are seeing 1/4 to 1/2 mile of camera to camera range. Battery life on our G series is roughly 60-80 days and with the booster we have seen over 100 days of battery life. We are releasing a solar panel this year and with testing we have gotten over 2 years of battery life.

Battery booster is that like a 12 volt battery pack that has a wire coming out of it and it has a round plug on the end of it to plug into the camera?

The CuddeLink cameras are available now to purchase. The CuddeLink Cell cameras will be available this summer.

Can the home camera send pictures through WiFi? I don’t have cell service where I live but I can put the home camera where my WiFi is in range.

We will have a Home unit in the future that can hook up directly to a computer. The camera is not able to use WiFi.

Can remote cameras take and send pictures also? It may have been said. Maybe I missed it

Yes, but they send their pictures to the home camera and it sends them to you.

Do the remote cameras send pictures immediately or is there a delay? If a thief is stealing my camera I would hope it sends the images before the camera is stolen.

It will all depend on your settings and how many images are waiting in the system to send. In a perfect scenario yes the image would be sent right away.

The Cell cameras would email you the photos, you can add up to 10 email addresses.

Just got mine setup. The camera shutter is SO LOUD. Its almost comical. I bought a four pack and have them set up around my house testing before I take them into the woods. Walking past them, with my human ears, it’s loud enough to scare me. I can’t imagine what it will do to a deer. Maybe a booner will walk by and fall over dead with a heart attack. That’s the only way you will kill one with these around because the first time a mature buck hears this kick-drum click, he gone...

It's because you have it setup in the house where ambient light is not good. When setup in the house the filter will move almost every image. Setup in the field it may move 1-2 times a day.

So a level below 20 is good.

As long as the camera is on the report you are good. Once you get below 20 you can run the risk of the camera not connecting to transmit the images.

This video is for the CuddeLink On-Site system. If you're running a cellular camera the images would be sent to your phone or email.

This is the most complicated user interface. and this video does not do much for helping to setup the cameras. Seriously these are difficult to get right the first time. hope cuddy fixes the user interface. and why do you not have temperature ready at the least.

If they are not within 1200 feet of each other they don't work, don't get caught up in the crap, if you don't believe what I'm saying then spend $900 and pay for your own lesson
