Thank you❤ for helping this baby. I stopped for something small being attacked in the middle of our road...it was an injured baby screech owl, our game warden said it's common for crows to kill the babies and we have no one to take it but you can try to save it just make sure you don't keep it as a pet. I did my best and one night while he was practicing his flying he went to one of our big trees out back then for several years he would visit and sit on the rail he left from make a couple tiny screeches then leave. ❤

Owls can't rotate or move their eyeballs in the socket, they're fixed in place. That's why they bob and move their head and body around, they have to! In the same way we move our eyes from left to right, up and down to look at things around us, they have to move their entire head, sometimes their body, to do it. That's why they always look like they're staring straight at you, they are! ❤❤❤

There is no way little Grishka would have been able to survive on his own. I watch Robert Fuller's great channel about owls, and the parents feed the little owlets. You want to ensure your doing the best possible thing for them. ❤

0:33 Owls are not really able to move their eyes in their sockets, so they have to move their entire heads in a somewhat exaggerated manner to change their field of vision. This bobbing and head-swaying motion is called motion parallax, and it owls more accurately judge distances.

Wonderful video. I love to see humans being informed about how to help wildlife in a symbiotic way with dimming their instincts.

This is a wonderful story; I'd have wanted to help the owlet, too. It was great to see him grow bigger and stronger and fly.

A wild owl is different than regular birds. We made friends with a screech owl he was too funny.

I found a tiny white with black rabbit in the woods near my house six years ago. She's been a great addition to our home, very sweet and light. I love her so much. I named her Spooky because it looks like she's wearing a sheet with eyes cut out for halloween
