The blue "friction foot" is made of Rubber. This is "old style" that I used on just a few machines, current is same material, but made a little differently.

These are very accurate, you can almost be GUARANTEED, no double if you are feeding a business card weight stock, OR THICKER. An uneducated person, could set it up. If you are feeding newsprint, or copy paper weight, IT WILL DO IT, but everything must be precisely set. I can do it all day long, BUT, that is where it starts to get "tricky" if you don't pay attention to your setup. (Sheet separators / friction feet, how many belts, and, tail support adjustment.) I also make a SHAKER, that we use that adds vibration to the tail stock for light stock. It "excites" the paper, and makes it feed much smoother. That as well is not needed, BUT, it is helpful. Simple device.
