Come go with me on my adventure to breakfast at the Sunrise Café in Cuenca, Ecuador. We'll start off on foot, catch the Tranvia and four stops later, we'll disembark and walk a few blocks past Parque Calderon, the Marcato and many other businesses and then we'll finally be there for some awesome grub.

Your intro cracks me up ever time! Rocka-chi-rocha....LOL. I think you're attempting to sing the song La Cucaracha (The Cockroach) if I'm not mistaken. Since you're living in a Spanish speaking country and have been there almost a year I highly recommend you take Spanish classes very soon. There are several online courses so there's no need to leave your apartment. The Spanish language has so many nuances, from correct pronunciation to the conjugating of verbs so it's understood to whom you are referring (como esta is asking "how he, she or it is which is what you keep asking; asking directly to someone "how are 'you'" is "como estas"). Knowing these things can be the difference in being understood when you speak, getting a blank stare or, as in your case, no reply when you spoke to the man on the street (the term for good morning is Buenos Dias, not Buenas Dias). And the Chocoteria...(phonetically pronounced cho-coh-teh-ree-ah with emphasis on ree).

We get a Grand Slam in Dennis which is pancakes, sausage, eggs for $7,99 and they have a lower price for seniors in Miami, for Ecuador $9.75 for breakfast is too much, I know Cuenca has Americans visitors and residents but locally salaries are very low compare to US.

I HATE them. They're nasty flying rats and I could live my life perfectly without them. -ds

I wear my mask under my nose as much as I can. I need my oxygen, we all do and they do not help any anyways! They even slow suffocating little kids in EC, horrible! How unpleasant it is for them, since 2 years old ?!
