Gotta love it. Someone who takes the time to make a complete detailed video for random products beyond the manufacturer's brief explanation of features most people pay no attention to. This is a great coffee maker and has made thousands of cups. Never failed because preventative maintenance along the way. Kudos to you. ✌😎

Yeah this is why I came to this video. Lol. I did a Google search on how the self-clean mode works (as opposed to just running a cycle with vinegar) and this video answered my question. Great stuff

I was gifted this coffee maker by a friend 3 years ago. I NEVER KNEW THERE WAS A FILTER TO BE CHANGED!! I feel so disgusted. Ordered a bunch from Amazon as you did and I am in the process of cleaning it now thanks to your video. I may run it through with the vinegar/water solution twice just because I'm so skeeved out. Thank you!

Thanks Marie. Remember not to add the filter until you're done with the white vinegar. Add the filter when you're doing fresh water step.

After the first cycle you must wipe down the condensation built up under the lid and around the basket and also the carafe lid. The vinegar and water is still on it.

A Cuisinart (brand new) was given to me w/o the instruction book. Wasn't sure how the cleaning button works. Your video was complete and now I know that my new coffee maker is working correctly. It is very helpful knowing how & how long the cleaning cycle takes. I click "like". Thxs

Excellent demo and explanation of how to maintain clean Cuisinart coffee maker. I routinely run the clean cycle with a little hydrogen peroxide in the water. I totally forgot about the water filter. Thank you!

Great video, thank you! Very clear instructions. Lacking soldering tools, I tried just squeezing the "pins" together, as the root cause of the issue appears to be they just flatten over time. This worked great and if I have another issue in the future will try the soldering trick.

This is excellent!! Clear, well spoken directions; spoken slowly enough to pause it, if needed. Since I don't clean my pot anywhere near as often as I should I have relied on this video to refresh my memory many times. This time I'll save it so it won't get lost.

I had already had my Cuisinart DCC-1200 series over 10 years when you made this video. What an incredible coffee maker. I have certainly not been as diligent and fastidious about cleaning mine. Thank you for the detailed maintanence video. It reminds me of all the important steps when I do run vinegar through it and change the water filter.

Just found this video by googling the coffee maker model which I have owned and used daily for more than five years. Best coffee maker I have ever had. I decided to review the manual for the use of the self clean button and found detail lacking. Your video is very comprehensive and goes way beyond the manual in very helpful ways: the use if a paper filter during cleaning, care of the hot carafe, etc. I'll subscribe to your channel to garner more useful tips. I’ve had my coffee maker for just over 2 years. I knew I could clean it with vinegar but just never noticed the clean button. I guess I thought it lit up when the coffee maker needed cleaning. It’s going through a cycle right now. Thanks so much for your clear instructions.

I am thinking about getting this one: Cuisinart Stainless Steel Thermal Coffee Maker (DCC-1150TW) Which I think is the one you have. Some people are posting poor reviews of it. They’re saying that the water comes down the side and the coffee doesn’t stay hot. What has your experience been?

We have had our coffeemaker for years and, while cleaning it regularly with vinegar/water and changing the filters, I never knew the "self-clean" button needed to be on during the process. You can buy a bag of replacement filters on Amazon.

I purchased this model used and it looked destroyed on the inside! But I know it's a great quality brewer. It's possible to almost completely disassemble the coffee maker for those who need to clean to reservoir by hand. There are 2 screw caps you MUST pry off and take screws out so you can get to and expose the reservoir. once you clean everything. you just put the screws back and use anything you like in place of the plugs you removed. I used hot glue.
