I love weird & obscure movies like this, In Fabric, The Lobster, The Killing Of A Sacred Deer etc they all seem to have occult undertones to them & feel very sinister lol

The doll and the robot in the background look like HUGE salt-n-pepper shakers

Worth pointing out that Peter Strickland is/was a member of an experimental music group called The Sonic Catering Band that's not a million miles from the group featured in the movie.

Oh man. This is the first film I’ve seen of his, and I freaking loved it!! Now I gotta check out the others.

I loooooove the three movies. Love the tone of the three. And The atmospheres as well. The three movies are a pure cinematic experiences.

I think I liked In Fabric more than Sound Studio but I think Duke Of Burgandy is my favourite Peter Strickland film. Having said that I haven’t LOVED a film from him yet though Flux with it’s more overtly comedic and satirical premise was just inherently more fun as an audience member. It’s still filled with the slow sort of abstract arty segments and I still found myself sitting through them waiting for it to get back to narrative but at least the context here made them feel slightly cheeky as well.

I went into this movie without any knowledge of Strickland's film or style - and I had to end it not very long into it. I love a nice quirky, weird film but this just did not pull my attention in any form, but would be willing to give it another shot with more intel on his style. But, it's just sooooo many other movies out there to watch...lol Great review as usual!

I wanted to watch "Berberian Sound Studio" for 10 Years because it LOOKED/SEEMED so Good and Scary. I was VERY Wrong!
