Maybe you relate with some lyrics, but no it doesn't this song was based off of the "Jonestown Massacre" nearing the end of the song you can start to hear some of the chilling tape that was played in the background. This wasn't a massacre but, instead a cult. Jim Jones who was the cult leader made these "mixed drinks" which contained cyanide. He promised they would go to a planet where he is still leader. He made sure the children drank it first so when they die the parents wouldn't have much to live for. 909 individuals lost their lives that day, 304 were children. Poor innocent children. Jim later shot himself. This incident was known as a "revolutionary suicide"...

Just a little correction: he didn't say they would go to another planet (it was the leader of another cult, Heaven's Gate, who said that). He just tried to convince them by talking of how they would "get attention" by this suicide (they didn't want to do it obviously, but he killed them anyway).

I don’t know everything but I do know that in 1978 he made all his cult followers move to a country in South America, where he gave a speech eventually making children drink cyanide. After he made all the parents commit suicide and then he shot himself. A massacre of over 900 people. There’s even a KZfaq video that’s basically a recording of the whole speech. It’s called the “Jonestown death tape” and is about an hour long. But it is very graphic as you’ll hear children screaming out in pain from being burnt from the inside out and dying….

After listening to it i think I get it. The first time it says " Honestly I've never had much sympathy cause those bad things always saw them coming for me." Meaning your running from what you know is coming and than you see what your running from gets someone else leading to the next part "But Honestly I've never had much sympathy cause the next time they'll probably be coming for me" creating a cycle not knowing if what you were running away from is still after you and not knowing if its there until it happens or get to someone else who wasn't aware they should've been running or stopped running. From the person who's running away perspective you can become numb if you see the cycle constantly repeating making it "hard to have sympathy".

@@leamoller2617 the backstory of it is Jim Jones massacre. It happened at Jonestown where Jones made a cult and made the civilians drink a kind of drug which makes them under a spell and causing a massacre. After that Jones killed himself.

Maybe you relate with some lyrics, but no it doesn't this song was based off of the "Jonestown Massacre" nearing the end of the song you can start to hear some of the chilling tape that was played in the background. This wasn't a massacre but, instead a cult. Jim Jones who was the cult leader made these "mixed drinks" which contained cyanide. He promised they would go to a planet where he is still leader. He made sure the children drank it first so when they die the parents wouldn't have much to live for. 909 individuals lost their lives that day, 304 were children. Poor innocent children. Jim later shot himself. This incident was known as a "revolutionary suicide"...

This song reminded me of the time ive made a mistake and ive lost myself to sins when a love one died, ive felt like my life was on autopilot and ive watched the story of martin luther the priest, and it changed my life and started being happy again in life, theres this verse on the bible where it says that the pain wont last forever it will eventualy be gone.
