Chadwick knew the importance of T’Challa. Said you should see the character, not the actor. He fought through everything to continue that role. They killed off that character for no reason at all. This movie in no way honors Chadwick or his legacy.

I think this hurts so deeply because we had no idea he was so sick. I knew he was thin but I thought he was preparing for a movie role! He literally gave us everything he had, he left it all on the screen for us to see ourselves because he loved his people so much. So thank you for giving it your all Chadwick. Your labor was not in vain. Rest in Heavenly Peace❤

Some people don't understand the importance of representation because they've always had it and take it for granted (they're used to us watching them and want to keep it that way), and because they don't want to see us as anything but stereotypes, but they don't know us nor really care to, so might as well speak to those who will listen. If one does not care for it, hey, you have almost every other movie. The love and care put into this film, including in the intricate costume design, is to be appreciated by people who have love in their hearts, and I've seen people from all colors and creeds excited for this film worldwide. I can't wait to see it here in Japan. Fortunately, we won't have to wait a month or so later like with some other films!

Im a black man and this notion that all we've had is stereotypes is false. That's just what is pointed at so these people have a talking point for their bs. We've been long past stereotypes but no one wants to look past them and see all the important roles that were played by POC or Women or Homosexuals. Everyone wants to blame the white man but never want to look at themselves for giving more notoriety to their problem instead of more notoriety to the roles that we have but are cried we don't because they're ignored that they even happened.

I’m so sad about Chadwick. He was my favorite and I even got a great Black Panther Helmet tattooed on my Arm next to the infinity stones and Avengers A. Well I give toys to kids at every Marvel movie I go to. I grew up very poor and didn’t have allot, so I like to give back to kids. I bought some Black Panther Action figure and Funko pops to give to some young kids at the movie. Rest in power king. I can’t wait to see this movie Friday.

Wow this was a very emotional interview, seeing the strength of Ryan to overcome challenges to this film as well as the emotion to work through the pain he was feeling for his fallen friend was huge. I too like Ryan grew up in the Bay Area and spent 45 yrs in America but l was born in Lesotho, a small country in the mountains surrounded by South Africa that Ryan visited for inspiration for Wakanda. So all is is quite personal as they CG ied scenes from the mountains of my birth country Lesotho in the film.

@Bobcheese Long story bro. But for starters, try searching for ESG and Blackrock. It's just a monopoly of 2/3 asset managing private companies. Large shares of Disney (also all major companies you could possibly think of) are owned by them. Basically selling the values, emotions and even the country for money and power. I might sound ridiculous but you have to research by yourself to understand this.

4:03 "I had never seen a love letter written to the black community..." Regarding the recent controversies surrounding negative statements made about Jewish people by black an athlete and rapper, I think it is important to remember that that "Love Letter" to the black community was written by two Jewish men, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, back in 1966. It's easy for non-blacks to be pro-black these days without facing scrutiny or ridicule. But these two Jewish men where presenting positive images of blacks waaaay before it was popular for non-blacks to do so. I think they deserve credit for that. We are all different families with the human race, but I think it is particularly important for blacks to understand how the Jews (among others) have been allies to blacks throughout American history, specifically during the civil rights movement.

I greatly understand the emotional attachment to a great and powerful actor like Chadwick! I really do. But you don't honor Mr. Boseman by killing off the character of such a Monarc example that is so important for future black boys to look up to. *MCU has to recast T'Challa to honor Chadwick Boseman* ,there are alot young black actors that can pick up the mantle and carry the legacy of Black Panther for example *Ylan Noel (1st Purge, Stairwell Scene) ,Ashley Walters (Get Rich or Die Tryin), Trevonte Rhodes (Moonlight)* many others... Shuri is great but the King, is King for a reason and not a queen. Meanwhile, *T'Challa and Storm had a son Azari T'challa they can bring him in as the Lost son and King of Wakanda the new Black Panther* and MCU already introduced X-Men in Dr. Strange Multiverse of Madness with Illuminati, it can work. *Give one these actors a chance because the same chance was given to Mr. Boseman which help him to influence and impact so many lives, and his and Black Panther legacy deserve to be continue by a male lead. *We can never replace Chadwick Boseman he is a Legend, a Hero, a King but we can remember him* through giving opportunity to next because he paved the way.

I agree I’d love to see a new T’Challa soon but what I think fails to be mentioned is what a role model Boseman was off the screen. He was a humanitarian & social justice advocate. He was deeply invested in the black community & excellence. I think Marvel is being so picky because whatever actor chooses to rise to the occasion next can’t just be a good actor, but must also honor T’Challa & Chadwick as a new black leader. That’s a lot of weight & responsibility. I don’t envy their position.

I agree that Chadwick was indeed a good actor but calling him King and leader is kinda going overboard. He wants ang leader or a CEO of a country. He isn't as big as Denzel or Jamie Foxx. People are talking wakanda too seriously considered that Africa has been in bad leadership for centuries. I saw Asians going crazy over Shang chi but not like this.
