No Offense but I believe no reggae star can ever reach this guy. Bob and Spear are the greatest Reggae Marketers then Joseph Hill and his group brought you reggae that hits you hard you never recover. If GI was the love doctor, this guy is the Roots Doctor.

The spiritual touch in his music is overwhelming, not much like any of the reggae greats. But I figure its this thingy with reggae the comparison don't work much as virtually every reggae artist has his/her own strengths

I agree,Joseph Hill is a had core of reggae. He goes to dig deeper to the shallow roots. Real reggae spirit and soul.

I love Josef Hill and Culture..saw them many times.. Mr. Hill is dynamic in his magnetic Reggae style and unique delivery of his voice, with a sense of humor..yes indeed he was very Special!! I don't want make any comparisons. Bob Marley was the Beatles of reggae music and much more. There will never be a B. Marley or J. Hill or a Hugh Mundell, King Tubby, Lee Scratch Perry, Gregory Isaacs, Black Uhuru, Augustus Pablo Jacob Miller and the rest of the beautiful Reggae Artist who have passed on 🙏🕊️🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴💚💛🧡💖🌴🌴🌴😅🎉

The first song is a Real vibes. They love to give you basket to carry water. If you try to be good to them they call YOU the big fool, and if you try to be gorgeous they call you Mr bad man. NO love in their heart. Some keeping smiling and when you come to check them they ma Judas!! In other words, this song is conveying a message that "NOT ALL THAT glitters IS GOLD"

This is one of my favorite roots albums of all time! Bought it during my first trip to Jamaica after recently discovering reggae as a teenager in the late 80s. Listened to it incessantly for years after that. Best memory of this album was during my first day of a visit to Capetown, South Africa, I met a Rastaman walking down the street, we started talking reggae, and next thing I know we are walking together singing this album....one love!
